Gers, at least you didn't get stuck in the tunnel!!

I NEVER go through the tunnel!:eek: Drive all the way round instead as I hate tunnels under rivers, get really scared and the Tyne Tunnel is particularly horrid as it dips in the middle and the hollow gets fogged up with car fumes. I'm convinced I'm either going to die when the tunnel collapses on me or suffocate from lack of fresh air. Perhaps when the new one opens I may try again.

Got stuck on the A184/Felling Bypass on Monday when that poor motorcyclist was killed but managed to get off fairly early and get back.

Too late for soup. Going to have a couple of slices of cheese and settle down. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hello, you know i'm guilty when i'm avoiding you all :o

Sweets, i do get hormonal hunger, also get hormonal non hunger when i realise i haven't been hungry for hours, trouble is, i make up for the non hunger with the constant scoffing on hunger days!!

I'm in a bad place atm, always tired, hating going to work and cant be bothered to go anywhere.. even to the shop for bread and milk for these two :(
my eldest is stressing me out as he's not taking his meds and is not thinking clearly and i've got cold sores and mouth ulcers galore :(
    Also other stuff going on.

Hope your hubby is progressing too Daisy, let us know how he's doing if you get time :)
  • Morning everyone

mazzers, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] low :( Think you need to get yourself to the Dr., there may be something he/she can suggest. Also, have you had your thyroid tested lately?? Think you need a check-up/blood-tests, but also a chat about what's been happening, especially with your son. You may need to take some time off work, just to have some time to build your strength/immune system up & get well. Don't delay, do it today. :kisses3:

Tis a beautiful morning here & the sun is shining so think I'll make time for a quick walk, even if it's just to the shops!! I like to park on the sea-front & walk along the beach, looking forward to it already, it's a good mood-lifter. :D

    Menu for today:
    B - 2 egg cheese omelette
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, BNS soup
    D - maybe chilli again??

    Have a good day.

Oh bum, the sun has just gone in!! :(:rotfl:

Finished my tub of S&V peanuts off last night, my mouth was burning because of the vinegar, but I persevered!! :rotfl:

LOL. So its not just me then?
I like the bags better than the tubs anyway - the tubs are bigger peanuts so lower vinegary coating to nut ratio.
I wish I could just buy the coating - I'd happily get my fix with no nuts, and yes I'll admit I do turn the bags inside out and lick them ;)

Sorry to hear this mazzers. I can definitely sympathise, I quite often find I can't be bothered to get dressed and just vegitate on the sofa in my dressing gown for days and cry off social engagements I've said I'll go to. I don't think the gloomy weather and lack of light helps.

Can't really offer any advice as I've never worked out how to get out of it myself - I know getting off my bum and going out makes me feel better but when I feel like that I just can't make myself do it. A long weekend somewhere sunny is the perfect antidote (even if I lack enthusiasm I'll not cry off a flight I've paid for!) but its often not a practical or affordable solution. Actually in previous years' I've found a cheap week in the Canaries in Jan has really helped but I'm not going to manage that this year.

That probably didn't help at all! Hope you feel more cheerful soon.

Ah thanks to you both, i think its the time of year, spoke to friends this morning who are normally bubbly and are feeling a bit tired and down too.
Prob post xmas blues * rolls eyes *
A holiday would be fab, not on the cards this year though unless i can get more working hours.
Been speaking to friends about a hol cottage in Wales perhaps, or maybe even a hotel break.

Am starving today, didnt eat much yesterday, was hoping to start lc today but had some toast with my son this morning * rolls eyes *

    Bring back our smilies!!
  • Do you save up Tesco clubcard vouchers, mazzers?? Just wondered if there were any good hotel deals you could try saving up for?? Give yourself a treat, just avoid school holiday times though *insert rolling eyes smilie*
Also, I think Travelodge sometimes have offers on for something like £9 a room!! Just a day or two away from the usual daily grind will probably do you good & tis something to look forward to.

HanSpan, I actually prefer the bigger nuts!! :D Btw, I've never licked the inside of the bag before!! :rotfl:

Well, had my walk earlier on & it was absolutely freezing!! The wind was soooo cold!! I'm sure my face went a grey/purple colour when I was outside & then bright red when I walked into a shop :o
Went into M&S & I'm glad I did, got £48 worth of food for £26 as there were lots of deals on, plus a lady infront of me in the queue had a £5 off voucher if you spend over £25 which she couldn't use, so I got that!! :j Still having chilli for my dins tonight though!! :rotfl:

Feel like it's Friday today  It's because I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow as my daft little car is going in for a service. Dread to think what it's going to cost because it's been making some awful noises & there's definitely a loss of power at times, wonder if there's a problem with the exhaust?? Actually, I haven't got a clue!! :o

Right, off to put the heating on as my fingers are going numb!! See you later, peeps.

I can sympathise and relate to this too, sometimes I just stay in bed all day and have a real duvet day :j and could easily avoid the world on any given day. However, when it gets that bad I push myself out of it - not easy - and move on. I see too many people with problems bigger/more horrible and less easy to deal with than mine and it shakes me awake. Luckily these periods don't last much longer than a day and it certainly helps that I love my work.

Have a glass of wine, relax and go with the flow.

Daisy, I too hope that things are getting better.

My day was good, my LC not quite so.. but it's my rules so I can break them! Work was good and interesting, spent time with some great colleagues and now ready for a glass of wine a sit down with a good book! :rotfl::rotfl:

I hope that others are coping/surviving and getting there.
  • Enjoy your wine, Gers!! ;):rotfl:
