Thanks for the advice gers, i used to imagine the sugar in carbs raising my BG and the insulin swirling around collecting it to store as fat, it worked too til the doc said 'no further action' blood test now normal * rolls eyes*
I must try to get back to visualising that, i was so good back then.
Benfilan, tis hard to be positive when your down in the dumps eh.
My feet have started to get tender again too, think my BG must be high again so time to take action.0 -
Morning folks. Not quite up with the lark but with the binmen clattering around the back lane. Why is that when bins are plastic they still manage to make enough noise to waken the street? And that beeping noise the lorries make when reversing...
Breakfast - sizzling away as I write this, had my coconut oil dose earlier
Lunch - probably gammon salady things with cauliflower
Evening meal - got some fabulous BNS soup waiting for me.
A colleague gave me some green tea with lemon (bags) from Twinnings and they are a very interesting twist so willl have to get some more. I'm very surprised and happy that I've taken to the green tea so well :j
Got a meeting a bit south of here at 10.00 so must get myself sorted shortly. Work is piling up between now and going away and I've got loads to do. Best part is that the packing is very almost completed. Just am a bit obsessive about toiletries though the rational part of me KNOWS that I can buy toothpaste etc in the large metropolis of Melbourne. :rotfl:
Have a good/better LC day - and if you're down now I really hope it eases. Small steps forward are more important than no steps at all. Remember the old saying: you can't eat a whole elephant but you can eat elephant burgers!!

Hello everyone. Today's menu is: yoghurt, bacon and eggs, stew and a few nuts for snacks. Ds had some chocs yesterday and I thought I would have a piece as a 'treat' but it tasted really odd and I didn't like it at all. I couldn't believe it, I think I'd better go and see a Dr and get checked out! :rotfl:0

600ml size - wouldn't be enough in the 300ml sized one
Yes, just had a look in the fridge & the 300ml is far too small for a good sized portion of soup!!According to my Collins Gem Carb Counter book peppers are OK'ish:
That's good/low enough for me, thanks for the infoI must try to get back to visualising that, i was so good back then.
Yes, you were!! I was reading old posts yesterday & you were positively angelic!! What happened?! :rotfl:
Morning all
Think I have hormonal hunger, if there is such a thingJust feeling really hungry & a bit weak, as if I've not been eating enough, but I know I have
Maybe I need to eat more at PMT/MOTM time?? Anyone else notice this??
Menu for today:
B - 2 ying & yang fried eggs (that's how they looked in the frying pan!!), garlic sausage & a cheese pod
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, BNS soup
D - chilli with cauli mash & green beans
Will be putting celery, half a red pepper, mushrooms & leek in the chilli & 'following' a Jamie Oliver recipe, but without the kidney beans & chickpeas. Depending on who eats it, I'm hoping there will be enough left to freeze a couple of portions.
Hope everyone doing ok today.0 -

Tuna salad (Tuna, cucumber, onion, black olive, rocket and mayo)

Maybe because muscle weighs more than fat;)
I'm delurking:p Have been lurking for a week or so now, now on day 3 of induction and have a cracking headache!
Hi to all the usual suspects, hope everyone is well. Daisy hope your hubby is ok.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Made some cauli hummous today and had it with some GG crackers.
Just cooked the cauli to death to get rid of it flavour , drained it very well of wizzed it , then added the usual tahini , cumin , olive oil and a bit of paprika.
It was not bad really .0 -
Evening all.
Got stuck on the Tyne Bridge for ages this morning which put me off track somewhat as I hate being late.
Home in time for gammon salady stuff, cracked on with loads of work and now just going out for some more hair zapping (last before hols). It's taken a huge amount of willpower to not pluck it and it's not the same place as got zapped 6 weeks ago so the battle is being won.
Will have BNS soup with gammon in when I get back home, I don't like to eat much after 6p.m. but can make an exception tonight. Then I imagine it'll be a spot of relaxing with a good book. :j0 -
6 Salmon fillets in tesco are reduced from £9 to £4 if thats any use to anyone. Thats what I had for my tea tonight0

G&B, good to see you back
How did you get on with Paul McKenna?? Look into my eyes ...:rotfl:
Dr_D_D, that houmous sounds lovely
Gers, at least you didn't get stuck in the tunnel!!
benfilan, that salmon's a good buy, cheapest I've seen it is £5 for 4 pieces so will have to have a look in Tesco, thanks for that :j0
