Forgot to say, H&B have a 'buy one, get one half price' offer on atm.0

Yes sweets, the slow cooker info is the other way round, meant to mention yesterday but didnt get round to posting.
I hardly ever use mine on high, (hardly ever use mine full stop anymore)
Hadnt noticed the smilies missing, whats the bloody point in that, why not get rid of the seasonal ones instead.
I see from Daisys FB status that hubby is doing really well, so best wishes to him.
Have been quite under the weather, (what a stupid saying..is it a welsh thing? ) full of a cold and totm, so had no energy, therefore haven't stuck to lc at all, have been soooo hungry, well they do say feed a cold and starve a feverto sweet who's bound to comment on that little gem.
Omg at all the washing that has built up over a few days, will be washing and drying all day today0 -
Yes I'm sorry about my senior moment there folks, well spotted. I'll go to the back of the class:D I tend to use the high setting when I don't have 8 hours spare for the cooking time, usually coz i've forgotten I need to put it on!!
I gotta attack my washing today too. Re smilies - so have we been banned from rolling our eyes and shrugging our shoulders?! Whatever next.
O/h has just got back from the farm shop with 5 kilos of veg for £2 - MSE! - we
always get our veg from there now. He got red and white cabbage, onions, swede, carrots and celery this time - selection always varies. So that'll keep us stocked up for few days with yummy veg.
I am back down to my Xmas weight after totm, so want to press on into new weight loss territory this week. Must be good.
Putting a chicken in the oven later. Have a lovely Sunday everyone
Much love to all,

Ugh this miserable weather is getting me down!
Slept late today so skipped breakfast. Had a tuna mayo sandwich filler for lunch (2g carb) and I have lamb in the slow cooker for dinner later tonight.
Hope you all have/have had a great weekend!0 -
Been out - go 2 packets/trays of vine tomatoes for less than half price so have roasted them and made some yummy soup with a bit of cauli in for thickening. Wish I hadn't had my lunch now!
Also got some half price butternut squash so that's getting made next. Roasted it at the same time as the tomatoes. :j Used up my ham stock now too. IN EDIT: best one yet! More leek and a bit more liquid... most excellent!
Will make some chilli after that (without the beans) and will have my freezer and fridge stocked for the week/month.

Chilli has morphed into a concoction - chilli with almost withered mushrooms and just about to sprout carrots. So, not quite chilli at all but it has the genetic base of one. :j
Loads of chilli and ginger with a hint of garlic - that should keep my immune system ticking over. Oh, and a glug of red wine which is boiling off as I write.
Won't have to shop/cook all week. Not that's a bonus.0 -

That's great, best wishes from me, too.

As if I would *insert sarcastic rolling eyes smilie*
Changed my menu slightly as couldn't face my usual cheese & mushroom omelette for brekkie today. Instead I had 2 fried eggs & I fried 2 slices of the leftover ham from yesterday, definitely made it more edible, like thick bacon (but not as nice as real thick bacon). Same again tomorrow as no-one else is touching it & I'm trying to be frugal!! :rotfl:0 -
Ok, today has been pretty tough, really hitting a wall. I want BREAD!
Menu:
Breakfast:
Boiled egg
Lunch:
Cheese and spinach salad with olive oil
Dinner:
The inside of a kebab
And of course a few vodka cokes this evening!
Hiya hun! Don't sound to me like you are having enough to eat. For breakfasts in the week I have a combi of 3 - boiled egg, cheese, meat, hot dog frankfurters, pre cooked sausies, mayo, omlette, high bran crackers etc, now as you are low carbing rather than strictly Atkins I think you should eat more early on. Will make all the diff. I always make a big brekkie to take with me then save some of it for break around 10am. This sees me through to lunch. That's another story :rotfl:sweetserendipity wrote: »Forgot to say, H&B have a 'buy one, get one half price' offer on atm.
I did that on Saturday. Got 4 for the price of 3! :T Always good as I wouldn't be without the beauties againHave been quite under the weather, (what a stupid saying..is it a welsh thing? ) full of a cold and totm, so had no energy, therefore haven't stuck to lc at all, have been soooo hungry, well they do say feed a cold and starve a fever

No, not just Welsh, we say that too. Think it's part of the British way of dealing with our obsessionAlso, when it's overcast it does seem to push down on us. Maybe we're just sensitive? :rotfl: Feed a cold and feed a fever is the way. How else is one to gain strength? The 'starve a fever' thing was popular when they thought 'bleeding' people was a good idea :rotfl: Funny how these things last. Think about it though, you're burning up, you are using vital resourses to fight infection - yeah let's starve em too. serve the bu66rs right!
Happy Sunday!
