The early bird is here again... morning.

Busy day ahead but will take lots of lovely stuff with me - a flask of soup will see me right a lunch time I reckon.

    Breakfast - bacon and eggs
Evening meal - probably gammon on salad

Think I posted off a small packet without any address on it... nothing precious but annoyed with myself, old age is setting in.

Am trialling some new (to me) contact lenses which I can sleep in. All's well with them so far. Only problem is I now need to wear glasses to read in bed, most odd indeed.

    Happy Monday folks.
  • Morning all

Mercy, I bought the last 4 packets of crispbreads in H&B on Saturday!! Phew, that was a close call, won't let myself run out again!!

mazzers, you rebel, you!! Didn't you know the rolling eyes smilie is banned on MSE?! :naughty::rotfl:
I miss it as well, didn't realise how often I used it until it wasn't there to use!!

    My menu for today:
B - 2 fried eggs & 2 slices fried ham (surprisingly nice today)
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, BNS soup
D - fahita seasoned chicken (cooked with leek & red pepper) with cauli mash, dwarf beans, creamy mushroom sauce & grated cheese on top

Got weighed this morning & have only lost .6 of a lb!! :o Think I've been over-doing it with the S&V peanuts!! I seem to eat a lot more of them when I buy the tub, so going back to buying the bags when I've finished this one.

    Have a good day everyone

Morning all on officially the most depressing day of the year (blh blah).

Had son's fifth birthday party over the weekend so I feel slightly the worse for wear today. And fell off the lc wagon too (birthday cake, small slice, two small pieces pizza nad some popcorn...). Haven't lost any weight this week but at least none seems to have gone on (yet. Watch the scales whizz round tomorrow...). ANyway, onwards. Sausages, eggs, mushrooms for breakfast. Cheese salad for lunch. Dinner at Ikea as we are going to buy something to store the massive amount of toys my son has amassed over the weekend :)

Does anyone have any interesting additions to flavour Cauliflower mash?

    My two current ones:

Fried mushrooms , leek , mustard seeds and tarragon

    &

Fried chilli , spring onions , cumin seeds and coriander

Sprinkling of cheese and mustard - add some bacon bits for different texture so it's almost cauli cheese but mashed cauli cheese
    Pine nuts
    Lemon juice -my favourite

Had a good day - work and LCing both. Am loving the overload of soup.

    Hope everyone is fine.

Hmm, interesting idea, I've never really thought of flavouring the actual mash. I usually smother my mash & veggies with a sauce, lately it's either a cheesy sauce or creamy mushroom sauce.
This is a meal, rather than flavouring, but I'm making corned beef hash today - fried leeks & mushrooms, chopped corned beef, mixed into cauli mash with lots of black pepper. Could add more low-carb veg to the mix to make it more interesting, but that's all I have in the fridge atm.

Finished my tub of S&V peanuts off last night, my mouth was burning because of the vinegar, but I persevered!! :rotfl: So that's it, I'm not buying any more tubs, will try & have a couple of days off buying the bags (that's if I can find any anyway) & will just eat a few almonds if I'm peckish, better for me anyway, although they are salted almonds.

    Menu for today:
    B - 2 egg cheese & mushroom omelette
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage, BNS soup
D - corned beef hash with green beans & possibly a creamy mushroom sauce

Gers, I'm loving soup as well. I only have 2 ladlefuls a day now, doesn't seem quite enough though so next time I think I'll up it to 3 ladlefuls. Need to do what you do & batch cook some different soups.

    Hope everyone doing ok today.

Hi everyone. Today's menu: yoghurt, bacon and eggs, lamb with creamy sauce and veg, am eating salad when I'm hungry and the choccie cravings don't seem so bad at the moment.
