It's understandable hun - you've had a big shock xx Just do what you need to do, post if you need to, until you kids are back, hopefully not too long now. (((hugs)))4 May 20100

Hey guys, just started atkins on monday... going ok, although I don't think I'm in ketosis yet. I've been running twice (5k each time) and mountain biking once (two hours) since I started.
Here's my menu from today:
breakfast: Boiled egg
Lunch: spinach, rocket with goats cheese, dribble of caesar dressing, spoonful of coleslaw and tuna mayo
Dinner: Sausages, onions, mushrooms with passata done in the slow cooker with mashed cauliflower.
Anyone any suggestions for tasty snacks?0 -
Morning everyone
Feeling a bit subdued today after what happened yesterday
Hope things are getting better for you, daisy.
benfilan, I'm not doing Atkins (just general low-carbing) but things like cubes of cheese/babybels, boiled eggs, slices of cold meat, low-carb soup?? I sometimes have a small handful of peanuts or almonds, but I think nuts are not allowed on Atkins induction??
There are recipes on page 1 of this thread that you could look at, Mercy's mexican fudge is something that can be eaten hot or cold & therefore could be eaten as a snack, for instance.
My menu for today:
B - 2 fried eggs with 2 rashers streaky bacon on one low-carb crispbread 'toast'
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - piri piri chicken with cauli mash, green beans & creamy mushroom sauce
See you later.0 -
Hi all,
Daisy, hope your husband is OK. Sounds like he might have had a TIA which is like a mini stroke, where the blood clot moves on and the person is OK after a short while. Still a big shock though. My mum had two strokes last year but she's doing really well now, back to normal. Good luck.0 -
Daisy - how awful for you all - I hope hubby will be ok. If posting on the internet helps you cope then do it...
My menu today is: yoghurt, eggs & salad, creamy mushroomy sauce on meat of some kind.0
