    Hi all!

Been goodish foodwise over the festives but my downfalls have been potatoes and advocaat (about a gallon ) and wine really. Will be doing a working week without alcohol and eat normally for my penance come 4th :rotfl:

    Feel like I need it.

Am about to take down decs - 1 foot maroon feather xmas tree and some lameta from the yucca :rotfl: Will miss em for about 5 mins :D

Hope your wind down goes well, all back at it all too soon :(

    Big slightly wistful love

    Happy New Year everyone!!!!!!!

Been a bad girl over christmas and new year so today was my day of reckoning.I have put on 4lbs.But tbh its not as much as I expected to gain.So back in the LC groove from today but its not exactly easy as there are loads of choccies and cakies left from yesterdays buffet but I will be good

Mazzer slugs wont cross copper tape and you can get adhesive backed versions of it in garden centres and apply it around your door or where you think the !!!!!!s are getting in

Sweets-How about not weighing yourself till say Wednesday so that you have a couple of LC days to lose some of the fluid you will have retained.I do this as then the horror is slightly diminished lol

This is what I did. I was back at work on Tuesday so began serious LCing then. I was doing really well until we went to MIL's on New Year's Day & she'd done turkey pie, goose fat roasties & carrots with tiramisu to follow. I ate the lot & it was fab.

I went back to it yesterday & weighed myself for the first time since before Christmas & I'd only put on 1lb. That wouldn't be so bad except I'd put about 4lbs on in December by eating all the yummy stuff people brought to work.

What's inspiring me at the moment is the thought that if I'd kept off all the weight I lost in 2009 I'd weigh about 7 stone now! Instead I weigh only about 3 lbs less than I did this time last year. At least, thanks to low carbing it's a little less & I'm glad of that. This year I WILL stick to it, get to where I want to be & more importantly STAY THERE!!!

Here's to a happy, low carb new year for everyone.:coffee: (see how good I'm being. ;))

Well, someone has to be good on this thread!!:rotfl:

Mercy, I had a mountain of mashed potato with my dinner last night, tis my absolute favourite comfort food for weather like this :o Any excuse :o:rolleyes:

I was supposed to be winding down with the high-carb grub in readiness for tomorrow, but I've probably gone even more mad!! Found some leftover meringues in the cupboard yesterday so will be having them for pudding tonight, probably with oodles of cream & raspberries.

Anyway, tomorrow is the day!! No excuses, no lapses, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do & that is to lose the blubber by sticking to lcing & feeling slimmer & healthier as a result!! It's a no-brainer really, isn't it?!

Have a lovely Sunday, peeps

Well, someone has to be good on this thread!!:rotfl:

And that person was you in December Sweets. You were positively :A whilst I was eating all sorts of nonsense.

So in January you will be my role model. :rotfl: It's been lovely & sunny here since the new year & that always helps me to feel more positive.

    Today's food is;
    B. Mushroom, spinach & cheese omelette. (My fav. breakfast.)
    L. Half an avocado filled with tuna & HM mayo & a salad.
    D. Chicken breast with stilton sauce, cauli & cabbage.

    Have a fab Sunday everyone.

    Hi folks,
Had a bit of a snow flurry Fri night, which made going to work on Sat a bit treacherous, but on the whole it has been like summer with the sun shining through the windows (showing up all the dust  )

My last day of scoffing too, having steak with pepper sauce, salad, peas, sweetcorn and a coleslaw jacket for lunch today, also, my girly night tonight which includes lots of drinks and an indian take away no doubt.. yum

I am so so fat around my middle now, i cant even suck it in for a piccy :o

Will be getting my cross-trainer carted down to the (freezing.. brrr ) conservatory today, so hopefully i will use and and not just drape clothes on it

Good luck to us all, and congrats to those who have stuck to lc over xmas :T
  • Aww thanks, Dobie, I've never been someone's role model before!! :o:rotfl:
I was pretty good wasn't I!! Shame the same can't be said about me these days!! But, from tomorrow ... :A lcing angels (that's all of us, including alias I hope!!) rule again!!

For those peeps who are basking in New Year sunshine, this is my back garden today:

Sweet - what a fab pic of the Dalek! Didn't see you either but was transfixed by the baddies. My fav present of the year is a little toy one :j

Made it up to Weegieland and back. Drives both ways were a bit scary, today the outside temperature was -8 all the way down until the outskirts of Newcastle - so cold that the water for the windscreen hasn't unfrozen yet. Think it was a common experience as all the way down the roadsides and hard shoulders were littered with cars and their drivers frantically rubbing snow onto the screens. Luckily I had bought a couple of bottles of water on the way down which saved the day. Had to stop about 8 times though.

Christmas was OK and New Year was noisy - both were HC :eek: Today I'm going to eat the cake my mother packed and then THAT IS IT. Only 6 weeks to Oz so some serious stuff has to take place.

Good to read everyone's adventures, though I did skim over talks of slugs.

Happy New LC 2010 to you all.

    :A
