Lost the quote for my chocolate mouse Why can I now only quote the latest comment?
I've heard of MSE 'rubber chicken' but it seems we now have 'rubber mouse'!! :rotfl: Wonder how many more meals we can make out of mazzers' mouse?! :rotfl:
[QUOTE=sweetserendipity;28176177
Me too. And mince pies etc etc etc ...
Feeling sick, upset stomach, bad wind
, this is what eating too many carbs has done to me. Just have to get New Year's Day over with & then I'm back to being a lcing angel. I never want to see another Quality Street!! Haven't weighed yet, but can feel the bloat has returned
Well done to those peeps that have managed to stay sensible over the last few days, I don't know how you did it!!
Still lots more rubbish to go in this house. A Panettone isn't half a big thing! And I've not even cooked the (admittedly extremely small) Christmas pudding.
Someone really ought to go into busness making LC alternatives to all these awful things. I know there are sweeties and so on available but no really good cakes or puddings as far as I'm concerned, and I'm far too lazy to cook!
Oh heck. Got up to make tea and have just spotted a box of unopened chocolates. When will it end.....0 -
I'm fed up of eating as well, I'm just stuffing my face for the sake of it these days:o Will be glad when the cupboards are bare, again!!
mazzers, I'd forgotten about those lovely roast peppers, they are gorgeous!!
The butter chicken looks really nice, I'd have it with mushrooms, like paula said, or with broc/cauli, no need to rice.
Feeling a bit sorry for myself todayFeel like I'm getting a cold/generally run-down, so staying at home on my own while hubby & kids visit family up North. I might open the Sheridans tonight, just for medicinal purposes of course.
Hope everyone doing ok. Respect to those peeps that are still beavering away lcing0 -
Hello!
Couldn't face the curry and spuds once more - though they still smelled gorgeous
Instead had 2 crispbreads topped with pate and scrambled egg - yum!
Have prepared too much veg - carrots, sprouts and brocolli, chopped and micro'd several large chestnut mushrooms for inclusion in the pepper sauce and defrosted the ribeye steaks! :T
Just need to get hungry again to tackle the lot :j Still no bread, rice, pasta or chocolate! Yippeeeeeee! Still got a big bloated belly, mind
So much for staying off the booze  Bought a bottle of 'chocolate ruby' from M&S earlier. Tis a bit sweet so have let some down with brandy :rotfl:
Also from M&S got 2 lovely new bras and 2 pairs of matching undies for one of them. Less than £12! Couldn't be bothered going to asda on way home - not fed up with shopping at all, just didn't want to break my neck on the walk home. Tis all layers of slippy ice on the side streets, wonder how the old folk get on.
Apparently, Bolton stopped gritting the side streets about 8 years ago as they were sued by someone who slipped. Seems doing the gritting makes you responsible. Hope the selfish git who sued has slipped since :rotfl:
sweets - hope you feel better and that the sheridan's works, medicinally :rotfl:
mazzers - good of you to share your rodent! How kindDid you leave it a mi(n)ce pie for xmas :rotfl: Maybe get it hooked on sherry? It'll come out at New Year weaving about all over the place and make a fool of itself by being caught :T
Anyway, hope you're all having fun!
Big love!

Hi folks, tis rather late as i've had a nap  and i'm not up early tomorrow
Tried to be lc today but failed, let myself go too long without eating
Loads of chocs and things left, also, made a xmasy type cake then went and won a proper xmas cake in a raffle, what a disaster
Anyway, i plan to put the cakes away and have them as an occasional treat once i've lost a stone, the chocs will soon get devoured by the boys.
When is everyone else planning on getting back to serious lcing?0 -
Morning all :santa2:
I want to start lcing again ASAP!!
Has been a real eye-opener these last few days of carb-overdose - so many awful symptoms - feel sooooo much better (& smell better) when I'm lcing.
Have decided it's the 'sweet' carbs that have the worst effects on me - the mincepies, fruit cake etc, but especially the chocolate - all of them make me feel sick & seem to give me bad wind
Not much 'rubbish' left in the house now, thank goodness, but will wait until 2nd January (or 4th if I'm not organised ) to start afresh. I'm not looking forward to the inevitable carb crash though.
Hope everyone doing ok today :santa2:0 -
Good morning, had a nice lie in
Lots of snow was forecast for us here but we only have drizzle
Not really had any snow, just icy roads and pavements.
Just couldnt face bacon and eggs this morning so i had a slice of toast
ging to cut down as much as i can til after the new year, so going to avoid the sweets and chocs.
My stomach is so bloated, even first thing now
Lord knows what i'm going to wear out on new years eve0 -
Hi all
Been problems at Gers Towers (weather, car etc) so been under the blankets since Saturday.
Just made a huge dish of chicken thighs, tomatoes, onion, mushroom, leek and sprouts covered in passata stuff. Also stuck in loads of chilli and garlic, just cos I love them both. Baked it til the chicken was soft and had a bowlful with ground flaxseed and pine nuts on top. Filled the gap in tummy.
Waiting for car to be returned... not too happy as it's only 7 months old - but happy that the problem didn't happen on the motorway at 70 miles an hour. Mind you, took some comfort in major retail therapy attack on Sunday!
Did have some chocolates the other day (HAD to use them up as trip was delayed) but other than that been good. Wish the weather was better so I could get out and walk, but walking is more risky than flying at the moment here, just sheer ice and no sign of any gritting on the pavements.
Hey ho... hope everyone is OK.0 -
Lord knows what i'm going to wear out on new years eve
I know what I'll be wearing - skintight little black dress with 5 inch killer heels
In reality - pyjamas, dressing gown & fluffy slippers!!:rotfl:

Sounds bloomin' gorgeous, but I got rid of the sprouts for you, you only have to eat them on Christmas Day!!:D

Morning all :santa2:
Yaay, the ice on my driveway is finally melting!! Had a good go at it yesterday with a shovel, but looks like temperatures have risen & tis disappearing of it's own accord now  Ah well, the exercise probably did me some good.
Supposed to be forecast more snow according to TV, but my local forecast on BBC website says not
What's the weather like where you are??
Hubby & kids driving back from Scotland this aftie, so hoping the roads are ok up there.
No lcing news to report
Hope all well in low-carb land :santa2:0 -
I have to admit, i dont miss walking at all  no wonder i'm fat!
Still no snow, just drizzle, is really miserable.
Sweet, i'd be happy to stay in if i had a fella to keep me company
Tis the only time i will be going out over the xmas period tho.
Got lots of tidying to catch up on today so i'd better start i s'pose.
Have a good day.0
