Right Ladies sorry I've been quiet all of December but I've been being a good girl.Well I got on the scales this morning and I have amazing news.I have reached TARGET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am 9stone 13lbs on the bathroom scales and 9stone 9lbs on the bedroom ones.I started the journey on my rickety old bedroom scales so I reckon I should take their reading as my finish weight. If I'd known when I started this journey that it would take me 18months then I would have never even started but heyho its done and even though I am by no means a skinny minny I am now a lot thinner than I used to be.I was a 20/22 at the beginning and am now a 10/12.But being only 4'11" I should be about 8 stone 5lbs so even though I am at target after Christmas I will be back on the LC'ing to carry on till I reach 8 stone something and then I am done and will be maintaining.I've learnt along the way that you can never leave LC eating on a permanent basis as the weight comes back on with a vengeance but its a small price to pay for a smaller !!!!
Sorry if this post is upsetting for those of you that are still battling with LC'ing but I really have been where you are and know that there is light at the end of the tunnel if you just accept that you can't eat certain things only as a very occasional treat
Well Merry Christmas Ladies and see you all in the New Year when my christmas excesses will no doubt have pushed my weight above target and I'll be back on here with a vengeance

Well done ravylesley. I think we all need encouragement to help us going.0

Wow well done Lesley :T:T
What a xmas gift to give yourself.
I'm not upset, i'm very happy for you., and wise words indeed about realising certain foods can only be eaten very occasionally, if i had stuck to that i wouldnt have put the stone back on.
I shall be be attempting lc again after xmas with renewed vigour.0 -
Morning all,
Long time no post. Just off to MIL's for Xmas. I just hope she doesn't produce eclairs and lemon tarts after every meal like the last time we stayed! I've already put on a couple of pounds since the end of November. Shalln't be too strict over Xmas but will start again in January.
Well done, Ravyleasley! You must be so chuffed! I know I was when I got below 10 stone. 8 st 13 is my target which will probably be a stone to lose come January!
Just time to wish you all a good Xmas and a prosperous New Year. Don't be too hard on yourselves over the festive season (but don't go too mad either - it isn't worth it!)Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -
I just want to wish a 'Happy Xmas' to everyone on this thread. I love reading all your comments and advice on lc . My New Year resolution is to make more effort to lc and post more to help keep this thread going. x x x0

The silvery bits look good on me too, when I get my mini mallen thing going at the front. Shame the rest of the head wants in on the deal :rotfl: Just recently had a lot of the ones which grow an inch overnight and stick straight up! Not a good look and got sick of pullin em out :rotfl: Have to say hair is v shiny and quite dark. A good coupla washings should just let it shine and pick out variations. I only use semi permenants and can recommend Movida (only found it in Superdrug lately)

Yipeee! I'm free for 12 whole days! :j:T:j:T:j
Management kindly sent us home half an hour earlier today, and said not to bother about tomorrow!
Have mostly shopped and just need cream and advocaat tomorrow.
Sweets - those crispbreads are absolutely lovely! I've got a packet left for xmas and will try to make some with ground flax seeds too. I've been carefull with the dosage of crispbreads, as discussed :rotfl: Without giving too much away, they work on many levels
Wonder if some ground all bran could be incorporated in the flax crackers? Hmmm. Once a chemist always a chemist
