Drove through snow storms, hail storms and salt sprays and got home at 10.00a.m. Cold as it gets here.

Thanks Sweet for the comment about hot water and lime/lemon juice - will give it a go but getting 'used' to the green tea now.

As predicted overdosed on the medicinal grape juice with colleague, sitting by a roaring log fire is just so lovely.

Had breakfast when I got home (dropped into a Mucky Ds for a cup of coffee, no green tea there) which kept me going on the way home.

Now got chicken for evening meal, with philly and parma ham.

    Off to find winter socks...

Been busy last two days, still seems so much tidying to do though, as fast as i clear up, its back to clutter by morning

Also, they want to eat all the xmas goodies, my chocs have been attacked now (from my wardrobe) the pringle stash has been found and started, and now, middley is nagging to cook the ham joint f*s.

Made a rich fruit cake today, the shop ones are so expensive i thought sod it. Had most of the ingredients and just needed the mixed fruit and glace cherries icon7.gif

Oh, and the cadburys caramel tree chocs never made it to the tree
  • Need a bit of advice. Am going out for a meal to an indian restaurant. What meals would be best. Don't like Korma or anything too hot. Will avoid the rice and bread but not sure about main course. Any help appreciated as I don't seem to be doing too well with the weight loss recently.

    Morning all :santa2:

Tis a Winter Wonderland here!! :snow_grin Lots of snow & it's still coming down. :snow_grin Just listening to local radio to hear what schools are closed - haven't bothered getting kids up yet as their school is usually one of the schools closed, tis usually the Teachers & buses that can't get in. :snow_grin

Still haven't decided if this is my last day lcing for the Christmas hols?? Wanted to do a final weigh-in & wii still isn't set up (even though I asked DD1 to do it last night ). Have had 2 cups of coffee already this morning so, unless I do a big wee beforehand (tmi?? :o), it won't be accurate now anyway.

Cooked a beef joint for dinner last night & there's enough for tonight so I'm going to make it into a curry for dins.

Always, enjoy your indian meal tonight. I'm making a madras (Patak's paste) as that's lowish carb. Also, rogan josh is another lowish carb curry (going on the Patak's paste info).

    Menu for today:
    B - 2 egg cheese omelette
    L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - beef madras curry with green beans & cauli

Have a good day everyone, yaay tis Friday!! :santa2:

Indian mixed grill (tandori chicken , tikka, sheesh kebab)with a cauliflower bhaji (just check there is no potato in it) its not like an onion bhaji , more like a small bowl of cauliflower curry, another side dish is sagg paneer , which is spinach and paneer cheese.

If you dont fancy the whole mixed grill swap for tikka or kebab

Tis a bit like that chez Mercy but I've only myself to blame :rotfl: I haven't bought any carby things but the brandy and the red wine keeps going missing! It's not the cats. When I push em over and they loll a bit, if I don't tickle em they just get straight up! Same can't be said for me, sadly. :rotfl:

No. I lie on the floor giggling madly, I think they think I'm a bit odd. But it is funny when you push your cats over.

    Hi all!

Got the afternoon off work - last of hols. :( Was going to go into town and shop but when I got off the bus to pop home the traffic was backed up to my stop! (2 miles from town) So did all the local shopping I could instead.

Glad I did as got nice 1/4 bottle sized pocket flask for little Bro's birthday in Jan. It's leather bound, has perfect - no marks at all - screw top and shot top. Says 'carbide batteries' on it so I will fill it with Gin or Vodka before I wrap it :rotfl:

also got a Next dark 'slime green' short parka type thing for me. Really furry hood that's not too big, fitted and loadsa pockets - £9! I love charity shopping! Got it on way home from work and wore it on shop expedition, Warm face from the fur and not too hot when walking and carrying half a hundred weight of groceries! :T:j:rotfl:

    Imagine my glee!

Will have to get up early tomorrow and do proper shopping. If traffic's bad I'll walk. Wouldn't have had time to today.

    Today's food
    B - cheese
snack - 2x sausages from 'butty shop' and remaining cheese
D - Will be lumps of roast chicken, buttered green beans, mayo and mushrooms

Have already had a little brandy - a coupla shots before setting out on shopping. Won't be doing that tomorrow though as I plan to be out by 9am

Am currently having a nice warming drink. 3 parts red wine, splash of brandy, 5 parts very hot water.

    Surprisingly sparse on carbs :rotfl:
