Ah thanks for the offer
Was only £5.89 delivered anyway.
My spending will be coming to an abrupt halt by the summer as my youngest leaves school and my tax credit/child benefit will stop
Been asking for more hours in work but nothing doing at the mo.
Wont need to lc, wont be able to afford food :rolleyes:0 -
I notice Gers is having both the coconut oil and the linseed so is it ok to have all the oils together (in one day) or is it possible to have too much?
Sorry, missed this in my rush this morning.
I have the coconut oil (melted in a small amount of hot tea or coffee) about 20 minutes before breakfast and then the same (if I remember) before evening meal. The flaxeed oil I take after breakfast or as part of it, mixed in with yoghurt or double cream. Apparently yoghurt/cottage cheese or double cream helps the benefits more. I couldn't take it alone as it's really horrible. Don't use it for salads or cooking.
Coconut oil is almost magical - see various websites for the benefits - and certainly my skin is vastly improved (and not just my facial skin) since taking it and gets worse when I don't. I also use it as a facial moisturiser, fry my bacon and eggs in it and often rub it into my hair as a pre-wash conditioner. Oh, and the health benefits are all about the oil being MTC fats. :j0 -
Morning everyone
I'm making the choc buns tonight Mercy. They're part of my contribution to our Children in Need bake sale at work tomorrow. I thought I might put a bit of chocolate into the middle of each bun so when you bite into it there's a gooey bit in the middle. What do you think? I'm also taking in a batch of the 'famous' Twink's hobs but I won't be able to sample those of course.

In a word. YUM! They're so much like a 'normal' chocolate sponge bun it's amazing. Mine didn't rise a great deal but I expect I was just a bit heavy handed with folding in the egg whites.
I'm imagining a sort of low carb trifle with one of these soaked in juice & fruit from some frozen mixed berries, a touch of brandy & topped with whipped cream. Now THAT sounds like a pudding to die for.0 -
Was in Holland and Barrett today and think I'll be passing on the low carb crispbread due to the price. Notice a lot of you use flaxseed and it is half price just now.

How much are these crispbreads everyone keeps talking about? are they that expensive? :S0

Thought I would beat you all to posting this morning. Up early though not through choice, too much on at work and brain buzzing. Am hungry but can't face the thought of eating low carb stuff. Have never eaten much bread but this is definitely the time for some toast.0

Morning.
Gosh, the sound of the rain woke me early this morning - got sash windows and they didn't half rattle with the power of the rain lashing against them. Takes a lot to wake me but the rain managed it!
Had a cup of tea and my coconut oil and got a dental appointment at 9.00 so will wait to have breakfast until I return. Got to dig out my wet weather gear to wear as the dental surgery is within walking distance and hasn't got any parking spaces anyway so it's the old Sprayway jacket look for me.
I have no idea what's going on for the rest of the days' meals as I need to do some shopping.
The working day will be uneventful and calm for a change so I shall just enjoy it.
Hope your days are lovely.0
