Is very wet and windy here too, was sunny yesterday afternoon so i pegged out loads of towels but forgot to ge them in last night
Was awake at 2.30 as i went to bed too early so am shattered now, good job i didnt make plans for today then
Going to have an hour to see if that revives me.
B
L
D - Chicken and a plateful of veg from yesterdays lunch0 -
Just having my breakfast bacon and egg as I type, had my coconut oil half an hour ago and got my linseed oil/youghurt waiting. Got the lovely Ayrshire bacon from the farm shop and now got some of it in the freezer. No white stuff oozing out when it gets cooked.
Yesterday was my first baaaaaad day with a load of cheats :eek:felt good for the first half hour only. Then was kept awake most of the night by the effects of the sugar  and so serves me right!Went to Lidl for the yoghurt and stopped at the Christmas aisle and picked up some Luebeck marzipan
:o
Hey, ho and a bottle of rum. Yesterday was then...
Windy here, cold here and on the verge of being wet! Will bang out some urgent work and then wrap up for a walk on the wild side.
Hope everyone had a good day.0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Weigh day today & I've lost another 2lbsActually the wii fit is telling me I only have 5lbs to reach my goal (of losing a stone) so I'm presuming it counts bits of lbs as well but only tells you full lbs loss iyswim?? So maybe I lost 6 & a bit lbs last week & 2 & a bit lbs this week making 9lbs in total!! Either that or the wii fit just can't add up!!
Anyway, I'm a happy bunny as I thought totm would have caused me to stall/gain this week.
My fridge-freezer (& my HM ready meals) have survived another day!! :j Hubby has done something (but he doesn't know what or how!! :rotfl:) & has managed to get the freezer door to shut. It wasn't not shutting because of ice, it just wouldn't shut!!So I'm keeping fingers crossed that it's ok for another few days so that I can empty it in my own time. Also have to keep the fridge stuff to a minimum as that's starting to whiff a bit as well. Think that's losing coolness because of the build up of ice in the (frost-free ) freezer!! Anyway, at least I'm not losing my HM ready meals, it just means I'll be having chilli or curry mince for dinner every night this week!!
B - 2 egg cheese omelette (too hungry to cook mushrooms today)
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - chilli with cheesy leeks/mushrooms & cauli mash or salad??
And finally the weather forecast!!
Tis windy & has just started to rain, so typical November weather then.
Have a good day all :wave:0 -
Morning Everyone!! Starting again today
wish me luck!! Jumped on the scales over the weekend and had such a nasty surprise. Have to be good now because i feel so disgusted at myself. Im huge and i just feel like a tub of fat instead of a healthy person.

Hi all
,
I just feel like to make my 1st post on this thread since it is my 1st day full day of going low carb and also after getting so much advice on here, it's only fair to make my contribution too!
I've tried the 'South Beach' diet last year around same time and lost around 10lbs in the 2 weeks induction stage which I was very happy about..I find it easier to do than I thought but sadly did not stick to it.
This time around, I'm determine to make it more of a lifestyle and as a food lover would like to post alternative or substitutes of my favourite dishes on here to share too.
Being a Chinese makes it sooo much harder as I grew up eating rice and noodles regardless if it's breakfast, lunch or dinner..so I'll try my best to post your take-out substitue when I get the hang of things.
Starting by last night, I make my first ever cauli-fried rice..it's soooo yummy and taste just like rice..even the texture is the same! Bingo!
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned before on here but the Japanese do a type of noodle called Yam Cake Noodles (Shirataki). It is the ultimate subsitute as it's NO carb at all!! I've just ordered lots to add with stir fry and it can also be pasta with cheese sauce etc. Anyone else tried it? I wasn't so sure to begin with but after rinse it a few times and boiled it, it can be pan fried and it soak up all the sauce..YUMMY!!;)
Sorry for the long post,..I'm just too excited and get carried away!:DPinklover xx0 -

As for the noodles, It is actually a Japanese product, so you can find it from online Japanese store (I've PMed you with the link as wasn't sure if I'm allow to put it on here?!) or depending on where u are, some Japanese grocery sell them too which save the postage cost. The one I got it from have it on sale at the mo for only 0.89 per pack, so I got 10 packs as it lasts for ages in the fridge.
So far this morning,
B is: scramble egg x1, Bacon x1, some mushrooms and coffee
Mid-morning snack: Cheddar cheese with Chorizo slices
Lunch will be: Leftover roast chicken with Salad, some prawn and avocado
Dinner possibly: Steak with pepper sauce and cauli mash?!
Dessert: Sugar free Jelly with whipped cream
U can tell I loooove my food!:DPinklover xx0 -
Had a quick search for those noodles and found this:

Thanks for that pinklover, sometimes only a bit of noodles/rice will do!
Had a mare of a working day  but all is sorted and calm now. Laptop is heading for the old pile in the sky and I think it knows that a shiny new whizzy one is being built for me by the IT department so it took a strop! Some remote controlled slaps seems to have got it back into action again - only a week to go before I hand it back.
LC day has been good - :j:j though I'll be heading for an early night to catch up on lost sugar sleep! The cold water problem was easily solved (stupid Gers) by taking the filter bottle out of the fridge and leaving it on the side. :T Can't think why I stressed it yesterday.
Hope you all have a lovely evening - LC of course!0 -
Hello everyone, new to this site, can I join in with you? I am on the Harcombe diet having tried IPD and South Beach, find Harcombe best for me as I am able to eat some good carbs just not mixed with fat. Was wondering how you all find budgeting with low carb eating?0
