    Morning!

Sitting in my jim-jams still but have had my bacon and eggs already. Was going out but the weather is rather wild so may just stay in.

Lunch is chicken in passatta and then some soup for evening.

Drinking loads of water is really effective but oh so time consuming, not in the drinking of it but in the removal of it! And cold water makes me cold, lukewarm water is just horrible and hot water is just naked tea/coffee. I can drink black coffee but not black tea... will just spend today experimenting with water I think. :rotfl:

Got paperwork to do. As we don't take part in the tyranny of Christmas ( only parents get cards) then it'll all be easy so I don't need to go to the shops and do any frantic present buying. :j I can think of better things to do with my time and money than buying presents for people that they don't actually want or like so we tend to give presents throughout the year instead when something appropriate comes along.

    Anyways, have a great Saturday.

Morning Gers. I used to dislike black tea too but wouldn't have it any other way now. I started by drinking it really weak & over time have made it stronger until I now have it fairly 'normal.' I'd really struggle with low carb if I couldn't have my tea. Have you tried it with unsweetened soya milk? That's low carb & although I use it in coffee if I fancy a milky one I'm not keen in tea.
I also drink hot water with a slice of lemon & a bit of chopped ginger to liven it up. I find it a good way to increase my water intake & make it a bit more interesting.

    Today's menu looks like this;

B Mushroom, spinach & cheese omelette
L Tuna (left over from last night's dinner) salad & mayo.
D Pork steak fried with leeks & mushrooms, cabbage & green beans.

I'm off to Argos in a minute to buy my Wii fit. Very excited!!

I love black coffee but detest 'diet' drinks. You must eat else you'll lose vitality!

have some protein fat n veg, you'll feel better, honest :rotfl:

Glad you too like the thread! Nice to see you again. :)

Thanks mercy :) I made eggs & steak this morning, inspired by an episode of Top Chef.

I'm very disappointed. I went to Argos & it was £40 more expensive than I'd seen on line. I checked when I got home & it was the same. They're pushing Wii fit plus & I don't want to get that 'til I see how I get on with the normal one.

I've just ordered it from Sainsburys for the price I originally expected to pay but I'll have to wait until Monday or Tuesday. I don't do patience I'm afraid. :D

At least I got a bit of exercise walking round town.

    L :D chorizo omelette

D :D chicken breast portion so far, will have lc lasagne and salad later.

I have a gang of rowdy teenage boys here, hopefully they will be off out soon

  • Hi everyone. I've been searching for information about a low G.I diet but can't find much. Is a low carb diet a lot different to a low G.I diet?
I have been told i have PCOS & need to go on a low G.I diet but i don't quite understand it or how i work out the G.I value of the foods i eat. I'm a veggie & eats mainly quorn based meals. I have major cravings for sugar stuff and for carbs..... i love Mr Warburton for baking such wonderful bread :o :rotfl:
I have to lose weight.... about 3 stone or more & i know eating the amount of carbs i eat isn't good.
    I need some help.
    Thanks

    Hi hun!

We do 'Secret Santa' in the family. There's a mark of around £15. Everyone buys 1 present, everyone gets 1 present :) We make more of birthdays through the year. Saves a fortune at crimbo and if you only need to buy 1 prezzie you generally make more of an effort to get something the chosen 1 would like :)

Names are picked out of a hat on bonfire night. :D

Low GI generally has more carbs in it than low carb. It seems to be about chosing your food (carbs) in a better way.

Have a read of Dr Dahlqvists method -link on page 1 of this thread. It's a simple intro to low carbing.

Whatever you chose, these refs should help put you on the right track.

    Best of luck hunni!

    Big love
