Well I'm still here, and my belt went in a notch this morning (out again this afternoon though, lol). Am focused again as the consultant has told me I do need to lose some weight to increase my chances of having a second baby, so that's me with no get out clause!
Am trying to be under 12 stone by Christmas. Am 12.12 today. Seems doable, right?
  • Sarahs 999 defintely doable and you have a goal so that will help you stay strong willed. Good luck

Although I read the thread most days and have found recipes helpful I don't post too often. Will add more often to make sure thread carries on. To date have lost about one and half stone but have long way to go. Hoping that I can make it right down this time and stay there. Am at an age now where my health could suffer from being too overweight. Diabetes and poor joints are affecting some friends of my age who are also heavy. Having difficult time at work just now so not sleeping too well so thread helps keep me focused.

    B Bolied Eggs
    L Mackeral Salad
    D LC Pizza

You have lost 1.5 stone! Well done! Glad the thread helps you too, does wonders for me :D

Just had the most trying day at work  You know, where so many things go wrong - and nobody knows how it happened? :wall: my team then has to work it out and fix it. Not always easy. One of these occurrancies a day (we maybe get 2 a week, on a bad week) can be easily run alongside regular work but 2+ just today and being low in staff simply = mashed heads and backlog!

Had a moment around 3pm when my brain turned to swiss cheese (full of holes) and I simply could not hold a thought. I was not alone in this and team just sat around for a few minutes, talking carp. Normally we are quite mobile and talking carp :rotfl:

However, a relaxing, and indeed bracing, brandy seems to have put me back in weekend mode! :j I wouldn't normally hit the booze cupboard before tea but I was in extremis and it seems to have had the desired effect :D

Yay! I can enjoy the weekend! And I will :rotfl:

Dobie we had a sale in work for Think Pink, I managed to avoid successfully and people would not have believed that was possible. The way I find works for me is to act like an addict. One is too much and a thousand is not enough. I don't use any artificial sweetners and try to totally avoid anything that is too high to ever allow. After about a week you lose the cravings and if you accidentally eat anything sweet it tastes unpleasant.

I know you're right AH but so far haven't been able to put this into practice. I mustn't allow myself to feel I'm deprived or I'll just say s@d it & eat something silly. I usually get my chocolate fix with a mug of cocoa before bed. I make it with water, sweeten it with Splenda & add a good dollop of cream to make it lovely & rich. Very few carbs but deliciously chocolatey.

I'm happy with how today went. I stuck to my food plan with no trouble - although a vodka & slimline tonic found it's way into my hand tonight. :o Oh well, it's the weekend after all.

I love black coffee but detest 'diet' drinks. You must eat else you'll lose vitality!

have some protein fat n veg, you'll feel better, honest :rotfl:

  • Morning everyone :hello:

Had a lovely lie-in this morning & now sat having a coffee. Don't feel hungry so haven't sorted brekkie yet.

    Menu for today will be:
B - pigs in blankets (will cook 10 but will see how many I get after hubby & DD2 help themselves ) might have a fried egg, depending on how many piggies I get
    L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - chilli with cauli mash

Bought some reduced rasps & blues yesterday, haven't had fruit for ages, so they will appear somewhere in my menu today as well.
Also, may sneak another Options choca mocha hot choc today, totm so need something comforting.

Well, my 'frost-free' fridge-freezer (try saying that with false teeth!! :rotfl:) has started freezing over again  so gonna have to de-frost again  sooner rather than later, which means eating all my HM ready-meals over the next few days, I'm sure I'll manage :D

Better drink my coffee before it goes cold.
See you all later, have a good, preferably low-carb, day all :naughty::wave:
