    Morning everyone

I'm making the choc buns tonight Mercy. They're part of my contribution to our Children in Need bake sale at work tomorrow. I thought I might put a bit of chocolate into the middle of each bun so when you bite into it there's a gooey bit in the middle. What do you think? I'm also taking in a batch of the 'famous' Twink's hobs but I won't be able to sample those of course. ;)

    Today's menu is;
B Mushroom, spinach & cheese omelette
    L 2 chicken drumsticks, salad & mayo
D Cajun chicken & veg - not sure what yet, I may have a go at cauli mash as I haven't tried that yet.

    Have a good day everyone.

Hi everyone. Toda's menu: yoghurt with flaxseeds, broccoli with cheese & cheesy/cauli mash. I notice Gers is having both the coconut oil and the linseed so is it ok to have all the oils together (in one day) or is it possible to have too much? I find it a bit of a pain that I have to eat seperate meals than the rest of the family, and I got really annoyed when hubby used up all the cauliflower when he wouldn't normally eat it!
  • Morning all :hello:

Yaay, the nutty focus is back!! :p Welcome back & good luck :D

Welcome to pinklover :D Your menu sounded great for yesterday, I'm another one that loves her food!!
Just to clarify (if you didn't already know), when focus said 'I shouldn't say diet I should say woe' she meant 'way of eating', not 'oh woe is me, I'm on a low-carb diet'!! :rotfl:

Welcome Lindsey, I'll have to google Harcombe too, never heard of it but good luck with it!! :D

    My menu for today:
    B - 2 egg mushroom & cheese omelette
    L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - Mercy's beef mince curry with cauli mash

Very aware that I'm not getting my 5-a-day so when my f-f is defrosted I'm gonna stock up on lots of good fruit & veg, including the dreaded salad. Still haven't used up my savoy cabbage, tis in the garage & I'm afraid it's 'out of sight, out of mind'. :o
Did have some strawberries/blues with cream last night, which wasn't on my daily menu, lush they were!! :D

Anyway, have a good day, tis sunny but very breezy here, think it'll be a 'mad hair day'!! :D:wave:

    Hello again!
Just found out I'll be doing lots of overtime from now on :) We don't get much notice and there's no end in sight. Should get q wealthy as I'll always be at work n not in any shops :rotfl:

Will take some organising lcing wise, must do a meal plan. Got enough lunches n breakfasts for rest of week but it's all a bit random after that. And for last 2 weeks before xmas will be 50hrs plus weekends :(

    Any recommendations for staying alert?

Yeah, it's under 'best choc buns / cakes' kinda thing. They are really the nicest after 2 days. So you have to make a few :) If you just use really dark choc then they're the best LC choc sponge buns you can have. :j

    EVER!:T
    so far anyway :)

Yes im back!! Been so tired lately with no energy so knew it was time to get back to what works. My fridge and freezers used to be full of junk but after i did a shop yesterday its full of fresh foods now. Meat, cheese & vegetables :D its great!!

With diets you always jump on and off them  if i think of it as a way of eating for life i can have odd treats along the way but i will not sway from this way of eating. (i hope) :D

I dont ever have a proper breakfast. Now still feeling quite full :) but have a very long day today and tired!! cant wait for this way of eating to give me some more energy. xx
  • Thanks everyone for the welcome messages! Yes, the link for those Shirataki noodles are from Japan centre, which I found the cheapest at the moment as it is on sale. Still waiting for mine to arrive..

Overslept this morning as one of my dog was throwing up at 1am, clean up and straight to bed again but sooo tired..still have to make hubby lunch, my lunch (as he is not a LCber) then I fancy quickly whipping up some LC pancake as well all these under 15mins?!?! Well, I managed it and so glad I did as the pancakes were yummy!! Never make them before but taste almost like the real one if not better!

So B: Pancake with tiny peanut butter and cream cheese
L: Spring roll (Fried a thin layer of Egg, 1x wrap with spring onions, leftover chicken, some curry powder and 1 wrap with Turkey ham, cheese and mayo)
D: Maybe Gammon ham, egg and celeariac chips?!

Just gave away my drawer food of choc biscuits and other naughty stash of mine at work to my boss as he has a sweet tooth, just don't want to be tempted staring at it all day!!:p

    Happy LC day everyone! x
