Morning.
Gosh, the sound of the rain woke me early this morning - got sash windows and they didn't half rattle with the power of the rain lashing against them. Takes a lot to wake me but the rain managed it!
Had a cup of tea and my coconut oil and got a dental appointment at 9.00 so will wait to have breakfast until I return. Got to dig out my wet weather gear to wear as the dental surgery is within walking distance and hasn't got any parking spaces anyway so it's the old Sprayway jacket look for me.
I have no idea what's going on for the rest of the days' meals as I need to do some shopping.
The working day will be uneventful and calm for a change so I shall just enjoy it.
Hope your days are lovely.
Unlike the weather, its raining and blowing a gale here0 -
Morning peeps :hello:
Tis wet & wild here too, stray cat came in looking like a drowned rat this morning, poor thing!!
mazzers, any word on your missing moggy?? Don't tell me if it's sad news though.
focus, the crispbreads are £1.19 in Holland & Barrett - pack of 10 - not cheap but definitely worth the money for me.
Always, you missed out on the 'buy one, get one half price' at H&B, it ended last week.
B - 2 egg cheese & mushroom omelette
L - 2 low-carb crispbreads with butter & cheese, egg mayo
D - last of the curry mince, cauli mash
Was a hungry-nose yesterday & had more garlic sausage & a cheddar babybel at about 4pm.
Noticed that I have really struggled to finish my dinners this week & I'm wondering if I should reduce portion size?! This is a radical idea for me as I do usually like, & easily manage, a big dinner!!:rotfl: Maybe my stomach has shrunk & I can't fit as much in?!
Anyway, think I might need to re-jig my daily menu so that I eat more during the day & not so much for my evening meal?? Will have a think.
Mercy, hope you don't get too weary with work.
Gers, good luck at the Dentist. :undecided
Dobie, I want some of that 'pudding to die for'. Now please!!
mazzers, how you feeling today?? Don't want you getting down in the dumps. :kisses3:
Have a good day everyone, will try to pop in later, see how you all doing. :wave:0 -

Hi everyone - I've lost 1lb over the last few days. It's only a tiny amount but it makes it worthwhile if you can see it happening. Today I'm having yoghurt, cauli and brocolli (leftovers from yesterday) and not sure about the rest yet. I've realised my worst time is in the evening because I always get the urge to binge - but I'm fighting it! I had the flaxseed oil on it's own and it was disgusting but quickly disguised the taste with the yoghurt. I am going to start the coconut oil as well today as Gers does.0

Need root canal treatment
Been shopping and treated myself (not, only me!!) to some fillet steak :j got a very small piece and will enjoy it for lunch one day this week when no-one else is in.
Had some good quality protein for breakfast too. Got lovely Ayrshire bacon roll from the farm shop, just bacon but it's got both the back and the streaky bit still joined together, and some free range eggs. Then had some yoghurt and flaxseed oil (yeurgh) and a big big cup of tea. Now stuffed so will probably not have another meal until tonight.
I like to keep some mini pepparamis and mini Cathedral cheeses in the house and car for snack times and often just have one of each for lunch or evening meal. They seem to do the trick.
Since coming back from my hols and week of work away and then my sugar fest I've been very strict with myself and am back on track again. The indulgence of sugar on Sunday was a 'welcome' mistake as I felt the results of the POISON all day and most of the night. Need to embed in my mind the horrors of the day and get rid of the taste of the POISON! :rotfl:
No more rain so had no need of wet weather kit. :T0 -

I warned you. :eek:I am going to start the coconut oil as well today as Gers does
Not just me, a load of people do it. Have a look at the thread about it

Hi all,
Just tucking in my Chicken Salad behind my desk while multitasking typing away on here! I'm very interest in the crispbread, I've brought some from tesco the other day and they are super thin ones which is nice, though I only limited myself to 1 a day.
Since I'm trying out all the LC recipes and realised that many make the use of Ground Almond and Ground flaxseed, can anyone suggest the best/cheapest place to get them in larger bags? At the mo, I'm getting from Asda/Tesco during my weekly shop but at £1/100g, it seems expensive when I'm baking biscuits and other yummy sweet treats.
Tried a LC coconut macaroons recipes last night and it was great!! Not sure if it is on here already? If not, will be happy to share on here!
Cooking away in the Slow cooker is hungarian beef stew, thing to have it with some broccoli and cauli mesh..YUMM! xxPinklover xx0 -
Hi Gang!
I had a little spurt of posting a few months back, but fell off the wagon (in both ways). I only have enough time to quickly read through the posts as I’ve started working again (finally!), but I’ve also been existing on sandwiches – bleurgh.
So, I need help…
1 – Quick meal ideas, lunchbox stuff, etc. I’m so shattered that I can’t be bothered with “real” food / meals.
2 – the recipe for the flax loaf (Mazzers, was that you?) I remember a photo was posted of it & apparently it was fab for sandwiches? I’ve searched & searched but can’t find it (heeeeeeeeeeeelllllpppp!)
Thankfully, being on my feet for ten hours a day means that I’ve lost a bit of weight rather than putting it on, but I really miss low-carbing & I feel rotten (run down & windy from all the bread).
Any ideas & suggestions gratefully received! I’m sure I’ll be able to get back into the swing of things again once I get used to being employed rather than a layabout!0 -
