Hello everyone, new to this site, can I join in with you? I am on the Harcombe diet having tried IPD and South Beach, find Harcombe best for me as I am able to eat some good carbs just not mixed with fat. Was wondering how you all find budgeting with low carb eating?

Welcome to the thread Linsey :) my biggest problem with Low carb is the cost. :o I guess because normally i eat alot of pasta, rice and bread which is cheap compared to the cost of meat. I think if you meal plan ahead it works out alot cheaper. Good luck low carbing x

Let me know how that turned out Dobie, maybe i should dig out my slow cooker coz sometimes i just cant be bothered to cook so that would be ideal.
I usually only do casseroles in mine

    Hi Mazzers :hello:

I often cook a whole chicken or joint in the slow cooker. It's the only way for me to do it during the week as I'm out for 10 hours a day for work.

You don't get the nice roast outside but the meat is lovely & moist (falls off the bone) & there's loads of lovely juice in the bottom for your gravy.

Today I took off the bre@sts first & I'm going to cajun those tomorrow.

Hope you've had a good day.

    Morning everyone :hello:

    Weigh day today & I've lost another 2lbs :D
Anyway, I'm a happy bunny as I thought totm would have caused me to stall/gain this week.
    Well done sweetie!
My fridge-freezer (& my HM ready meals) have survived another day!! :j Hubby has done something (but he doesn't know what or how!! :rotfl:) & has managed to get the freezer door to shut. It wasn't not shutting because of ice, it just wouldn't shut!! So I'm keeping fingers crossed that it's ok for another few days so that I can empty it in my own time.
at least I'm not losing my HM ready meals, it just means I'll be having chilli or curry mince for dinner every night this week!!

    Like that's a hardship :rotfl:
And finally the weather forecast!! :p
Tis windy & has just started to rain, so typical November weather then.
Have a good day all
About time we got November weather :rotfl: It's been surprisingly mild int North West and if it gets cooler I'll be able to wear my nice furry coat YAY! :j Though I'm not knocking the wonderfully mild weather (temp wise) we've been treated to recently. Just wish It'd stop raining

As for the noodles, It is actually a Japanese product, so you can find it from online Japanese store (I've PMed you with the link as wasn't sure if I'm allow to put it on here?!) or depending on where u are, some Japanese grocery sell them too which save the postage cost. The one I got it from have it on sale at the mo for only 0.89 per pack, so I got 10 packs as it lasts for ages in the fridge.

    So far this morning,
B is: scramble egg x1, Bacon x1, some mushrooms and coffee
Mid-morning snack: Cheddar cheese with Chorizo slices
Lunch will be: Leftover roast chicken with Salad, some prawn and avocado
Dinner possibly: Steak with pepper sauce and cauli mash?!
Dessert: Sugar free Jelly with whipped cream

    U can tell I loooove my food!:D

    Welcome pinklover!

    Hello again!
Just found out I'll be doing lots of overtime from now on :) We don't get much notice and there's no end in sight. Should get q wealthy as I'll always be at work n not in any shops :rotfl:

Will take some organising lcing wise, must do a meal plan. Got enough lunches n breakfasts for rest of week but it's all a bit random after that. And for last 2 weeks before xmas will be 50hrs plus weekends :(

    Any recommendations for staying alert?

Yeah, it's under 'best choc buns / cakes' kinda thing. They are really the nicest after 2 days. So you have to make a few :) If you just use really dark choc then they're the best LC choc sponge buns you can have. :j

    EVER!:T
    so far anyway :)
