Bacon and eggs eaten.
Body showered.
Clothes put on.
Sat a PC and read the newspapers.
Had a cup of tea.
Productive day so far or what?
Have to go out now to do my most hated activity - shopping. Aaargh. Need to return an item to Curry's; buy some more Weleda Skin Food (got a free sample via MSE and it's fab stuff) and buy some berries and cream.
Got an email from a work related friend who complimented me on both not eating the chips yesterday *yay* and said that my weight loss was showing. Actually 2 of the 3 people I met with yesterday made the same comment so my motivation is riding high. Who needs doughnuts when a piece of bacon is better?
Cold is abating, cough is unproductive and sore nose is responding to TLC.
Lunch will be the other mini pork shoulder but I won't be buying them again, not as tasty as I expected. Could be my taste buds are drowned in common cold though?
My car is almost totally covered in fallen leaves, must have been windy last night. I might need to get the ice scraper out to clear the windscreen.
Play hard - LC well. Hope everyone is feeling better.0 -
Hello everyone :hello:
g&b, sorry to hear your daughter is back in hospitalHope she gets better very soon.
yo Mercy & mazzers, my food is monotonous but tasty too (most of the time ) It's actually been nearly 5 weeks that I've been lcing again (doesn't time fly when you're enjoying yourself!!) Have lost weight & my muffin top is disappearing although still haven't dropped a dress size yet.
Gers, you are going great guns, resisting chips & getting compliments, your confidence must be sky high!! Well done!! :j
I've got imminent totm blues & lack of sleep fedupness, going shopping later with DD1 but really don't feel in the mood.
B - 3 x chipolata sausages & fried egg
L - 2 x crispbread with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - coronation chicken with cheesy leeks & green beans (wot no cauli mash?!)
Hope everyone doing ok :wave:0 -
Hi all!
Had a nice day so far. Walked a lot and got stuff done
Also met up with lovely mate and had a good afternoon chatting and shopping.
Today's bargains were from the £1 shop
3xlong socks. These are black with green spots, black with pink spots and black with pink skulls yipeee! They are supposed to be 'over the knee' but my calves conspire to make them knee socks :rotfl:
Also 3 sorts of hair fasteners.
Quite a cheap shop day for me, but that's not counting the half hundred weight of veg I now possess
Hope everyone is well n happy!
Off to make some broth type thing in a bit. :j

Ah ha, more great news.. we have a mouse in the house
Saw the cheeky bugga hiding behind the fire the other night and i put a piece of cheese by the fireplace and it came forward and took it :rotfl:
Kids said i was seeing things, going crazy, or a combination of both
Middle boy has found its hiding place this evening though so i'm off the hook.
Dont wanna hurt it so googled how to make a humane trap but no luck yet
There is poo in all my kitchen pans....... i knew i should have potty trained those kids :rotfl:0 -
hi Mazz
Mouses are cute but misplaced mouses are a menace. Spose once it's been 'removed' you should find out how it got in and plug that gap. Unless in just sidled in when you were hangin out the washing? Anyway, good on you for going humane.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
I feel happily rodent free as Sherlock would've et it (or booby trapped my life with it) by now
Made broth and should get 5 meals out of it. Also bought half an ox heart today and the butcher sliced it up. Cooked it with butter, tom puree, mushrooms and leeks and it is fab! (Still got a good portion for tomorrow, with gravy) Will get a full one sliced a bit thicker - 1inch thick I reckon - and casserole it as above. Bet that'l be v nice on a bed of squashed cauli. Has made the tastiest gravy so looking forward to a full one next week!
Just have to do the curry tomorrow and I'll have tasty frozen meal blocks coming out my ears :rotfl:

Tried this one? Doesn't look too complicated. Dunno how well it works but as you've established it likes cheese (:)) you may be lucky.

Answers
1) Only in the kitchen
(I did write just 'pans' at first but thought you might think i meant toilet pans)
2) Just walnuts thanks
I saw that trap, but mine was made out of an empty 2 litre water bottle with the top cut off and inverted into the bottle so it cant get back out, hasn't worked though, and i even put 'steps' leading up to it ( paperback books)
and i've also got a cat !!!!!!
Ah well back to the drawing board :rolleyes:0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Feeling a lot better today, yesterday I felt like I'd been drugged, just felt drained, tired & generally carpTo do with (still imminent) totm rather than lcing though.
Menu for today:
B - 2 x chipolata sausages & fried egg
L - 2 x crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - beef stew (casserole steak, leeks, mushrooms, gravy) with cauli mash & maybe cheesy leeks
Ended up having cauli mash with the coronation chick last night as that was a lot easier to make than the cheesy leeks (didn't trust myself with a sharp knife)
Also had 2 more crispbreads with butter & cheese for supper, a good handful of salt & vinegar peanuts & half a bottle of red wine.
Tis a chilly but sunny day here, have washing to do as didn't do anything 'housewifely' yesterday, but hopefully will get out for a brisk walk later.
Hope everyone doing ok.
Mercy, you are uber-organised & I'm loving the sound of those socks!!
mazzers, hope you managed to catch your mouse, cute little things but wouldn't want one in the hoose!!
Might see you all later :wave:0 -
Didn't get the mouse, the brazen little git can stay a bit longer, no time to faff today, i'm out on the razz with my mates later this afternoon  so need to get organised.
Lamb in th'oven, washing about to go out and i need to do a bit of ironing :rolleyes2
Hope i can find summin nice to fit me, why didnt i try harder sooner :doh:0
