Had a brainwave, gonna make my lc bread with chopped walnuts in it, if it's a quarter as nice as the one my friend made me eat it'll be bloody lush0
-
Morning - gosh, it's dark still.
Having my first cuppa and my coconut oil. Nose very sore from all that blowing and rubbing, apparently 'real' hankies made of cotton don't make the nose sore at all, just couldn't face all that washing though.
Had an interrupted sleep but not too bad this time; couple of coughs, one wee and a few nose blowings. Added to one very weird dream (I don't usually remember my dreams which is why I make the comment) it was a comfortable night.
Today's plan for LC: breakfast, 20 minutes after my coconut oil - the last of this weeks' eggy bacony muffins with a mini pepperami. Lunch will be in Wetherby I expect and evening meal is going to be a mini pork shoulder, wrapped in Prosciutto Parma with sage butter with mashed cauli and some other yet-to-be-determined vegetable.
A thought for those struggling:
The first requisite for success is the ability to apply your physical and mental energies to one problem incessantly without growing weary. Thomas Edison
Have a good day.
Off to buy more tissues!0 -

Don't feel you're missing out - cotton hankies hurt far more! Waitrose Ultrabalm are magic, better than kleenex ones. Not Very MSE (expensive) but my poor sore nose is far more important and I'm sure your's is too!0 -
Everyone seems to be doing great, cept me
You're not alone - my slip into lurgy induced carb land has continued. Hot cross buns - why is it one is never enough (or is it just me)? I also indulged my incredible craving for bread and butter pudding although I did make it myself with brown bread and sweetener instead of white and sugar but it still set off ferocious cravings I'm still struggling with. But i am back to it today.
I'm slowly weaning myself back off the carbs although I seem to have developed an addiction to Malpe Oat Granola (low carb but still probably too much) with extra thick double cream and lidl yoghurt.
Off to Lidl in a bit so hopefully a fridge full of lc will help, although I'm out for dinner tomorrow and with my current weak will that's bound to include pud.
I'm staying OFF the scales for now as I don't need to be depressed as well as ill!0 -
When i get a cold every time i blow my nose i rub a dab of vaseline ( or even better, cheap petroleum jelly, very mse) into the area and i never get a sore nose
Was good food wise yesterday, going to have scrambled eggs shortly, and got a chicken to roast for dinner which i'll have with creamy spinach0 -
Morning everyone :hello:
Just had my brekkie & I'm stuffed. Really struggled to eat this morning, may have been because I was reading this thread as I was eating & what with all this talk of snot ...!! _pale_
mazzers, I was in bed before 10pm last night, my flit to the pub the other night was my only bit of 'a life'!! :rotfl: Felt tired & fed up (think totm is imminent) so sat & read my IPD book.
Last night I had roast chicken, cauli mash, quite a lot of green beans & cheese sauce. Was nice but very filling. Think I underestimated the half a pack of green beans the night before as definitely had more last night - still ate them all though!!
Also had about 6 or 7 almonds last night, a cheddar babybel, more garlic sausage & a cup of hot chocolateWas really craving chocolate last night, good job I didn't buy those half-price Thorntons in Tesco the other day!!
B - 3 x chipolata sausages & 2 x buttery scrambled egg (too much)
L - 2 x crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - 1 x fish in parsley sauce, 1 x fish in butter sauce with cauli mash & more green beans (were bogof in Tesco)
Have to go shopping/do boring stuff today even though still feeling sorry for myself, hopefully I can get home early, just want to go back to bed.
Have a good day everyone :wave:0 -

Didn't have my breakfast early after all!
Sweet, are the pigs in blankets a sausage rolled in bacon
Cos thats what i had today and they were lovely, i used Tesco value streaky which is surprisingly lean once the rind is cut off.
I had them with eggs and fried tomato and mushrooms, lovely, but my stomach is making churning noises like a washing machinedont quite know why as i've had nowt else?
Got my chicken roasting in th'oven for later.0 -
Yes, piggies are sausages (I use chipolata) wrapped in streaky bacon, twas G&B's idea & she has them dipped into M&S garlic mayo I seem to remember.
Just been out for a very breezy walk!! Hair looks like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards!!Has cleared my head though as was feeling a big headachey earlier.
Glad it's the weekend, been sleeping really badly lately. Can't wait to have a lie-in
Thinking of making fishpie tonight instead of the other fish?? I'll see if I can be bothered later  If not, the mix can go into the freezer for another time.
Will be having wine tonight, still got half a bottle left over from last weekend. Not sure what it'll taste like after being open for a week (screwtop) but I've bought another bottle just in case it's gone off!!
Have a lovely weekend everyone, whatever you are getting up to!!0 -

Thanks for that, will zip along to my local one tomorrow. I do use Vaseline too but not every time, so am suffering.
Didn't have lunch in Wetherby - it turned out to be a huge bowl of chips and a huge tray of sandwiches. I made my excuses and left, then sat in the car and raided my stash of pepperami and babybels - how smug do I feel now????:p
Food in the oven for evening meal and then it's feet up and head down time.0
