cheers mazzers - I would have done that but I thought I would give it a whirl in my new slowcooker!

Hi Newcook - I cook gammon in my slow cooker too & avoid the saltiness by soaking overnight in water first. I think it's as effective as boiling & throwing away the water before cooking as Mazzers sugests.

I have decided that i cant be trusted to have just one slice of bread so its lc all the way now then,
I think this is what happened last time i tried SW, its all or nothing with bread.
Also, i've got awful heartburn so thats clinched it.

This could me me speaking. :D I don't do moderation when it comes to bread, cakes, chocolate, biscuits (or wine) etc. I'm much better at resisting if I don't have any at all. That's why LC suits me better than anything else I've tried. Although it isn't always easy, especially when I bake a batch of home made ciabatta rolls for my husband like I did on Saturday. I didn't have one but I was SOOO tempted.

Morning - had my brekkie and just about to do my ablutions! Lovely autumnal day here and it's almost cold.

Still got the throat lurgy, woke a couple of times during the night coughing inconsequentially but soon nodded off each time. Off to Sheffield today.

Lunch will be a car snack of pepperami and cheese and after that... who knows!

I too can't manage just one biscuit, the packet screams at me to be eaten and I even, one dark and dangerous day, managed to find just one tiny mini Dime bar in the bottom drawer of the freezer. Took me about an hour to find it but I KNEW it was there. :rotfl: No more am I that person - now I am in control of my appetite and in control of my life!

    Happy LC Tuesday!

Thats exactly how i felt Gers, in control, it was great. I wish i could get motivated again, but thats the good thing about this thread, hearing other people being focussed makes me want to try hader... honest.
    It's all about support.
  • Morning all :hello:

Just had my brekkie & feeling rather stuffed!! When you see what I've eaten you will understand why!! :o

I'm still plodding along on low-carb, I haven't lapsed at all, think this is my 4th week?? Amazing for me, given my previous!! Took me long enough to get back into it but posting on this thread & reading about other peeps trials & tribulations definitely helps. mazzers, you will get back into the swing of it, hopefully it will just click one day as it did for me. Just hoping my motivation lasts, tis the school hols (again) in a couple of weeks ...

B - 6 (yes, 6) pigs in blankets (in my defence, I was hungry & the sausages did need using up :o)
    L - 2 x crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - 1 x fish in parsley sauce, 1 x fish in butter sauce with cauli mash

Added some piri piri seasoning to the piggies before cooking for a bit of ooomph, really nice, probably why I ate all 6 in one go!! Had planned on saving a couple for later ...:rotfl:

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day, I'll come back & talk to myself later :p

Sweet, do you have the recipe for the crispbreads please?!?!!?

    Im soooo disorganized today

Forgot to bring some breakfast for work 
Lunch will probably be a tin of tuna and lime and a tin of the tuna and tomato (as I don’t have anything else with me!!)
Not too sure for tea as Im babysitting for a friend and need to be there about 6:45 - last week they said they would get me a couple of burgers from the butchers but a load of stuff has been going on and I think they may have forgotten!
Never mind – if they have forgotten then the birthday treats can start early!!

Having a lovely long lie in tomorrow (got the rest of the week off work!) so might even sit up late with a glass of wine or 2!

You !!!!!!s on about a sore throat – I woke up with a sore throat this morning  I don’t want the lurgy!!!!!

No recipe, you buy them in Holland & Barrett

    http://www.ggbrancrispbread.com/

£1.19 & you get 10 in a packet. I eat 2 a day, any more than that & my stomach starts grumbling as they are very high fibre iykwim ;). Having said that, if you leave a gap inbetween, say 2 at lunchtime & 2 for supper, that seems to be a safe way of eating more than 2 a day :o:D
I really like them but you do have to put plenty of butter & cheese on them.

Ps. Link for crispbreads taken from Sazbo's original post.

    Hi folks!

Not been posting as I've not been that lc just recently. :o No bread, pasta, rice, pastry or spuds though so not a complete fall off. Have had a few cornettos and magnums. and some chocolates and tinned soups. And far too much alcohol, really.

Feeling more positive and getting back to normal. Glad to be back at work and just want things to run as they should.

    Today
    coconut oil n supplements
B - hot dog sausies and cheddar
L - spicy chicken, bacon and veg stew from freezer (really glad I made loads when I did :))
D - will be chinese lettuce filled with cream cheese and bavarian ham, maybe some chorizo on side
If peckish later will have Lidl's greek yogurt and a few pecans

Hope we all have an easier time lcing and a good nights sleep tonight :D

    Love

Morning -it's raining now and still a bit dark. However, had my low carb breakfast and just heading off to the office.

My lurgy kept me awake a bit last night with a coughing fit which lasted for about an hour. Think I eventuallly slept cos I was exhausted. Will drink plenty of water today and got some 'soothers' to suck on (cherry flavour...yeugh) as I'm invigilating an exam for 2 hours.

Tonight will be chicken breasts stuffed with cream cheese and baked with parma ham wrapped round. :T

    Hope everyone is good?

    Morning Gers, i'm good :D
Just hate having a cough that keeps you awake, it's always worse at night no matter how many pillows prop you up.

It's cloudy but looks like it might be sunny later, was beautiful yesterday.

I went to a neighbours funeral yesterday morning, then straight to work, and after a bit of shoping came home and went straight to bed, so no time to be naughty

Once i get the first two lc days under my belt, i'm fine, so hopefully today will be a good day icon7.gif
