Well now, where is everyone?
Been to Goathland for the afternoon - where Heartbeat was filmed & also some of Harry PotterTis a lovely place, steam trains & lots of sheep.
No work tomorrow *said in a sing song voice* :j
Now are you sure about that?? You know your memory is not what it used to be!!
Didn't get back til 5.30 pm so dinner is going to be a late one, meat only takes an hour to cook apparently, we shall see, I hate chewy meat!! Hoping there'll be enough meat either for another meal (I'm cooking 2 mini joints) or for sandwiches, without the bread for me, tomorrow.
mazzers, enjoy your lamb dinner & your lager
newcook, what's QT??0 -

newcook, what's QT??
QT is the instant tea - its not as good as a proper brew but its not too bad (its made by Typhoo).
today I have had one of my peanut butter cookies, roasted lamb steak with leek, cauli and brocolli and some minted gravy and 2 peices of v.dark chocolate!
I also had a packet of skips (9carbs).
my nan gave me my birthday present (slowcooker) and made me open it to make sure it was the right one - its a lot smaller than the one I would have prefered (its only a 1.5ltr) but who am I to upset an old lady who I love so I smiled and said it was!
nan wants me to try it out asap so I have a gammon joint chopped up marinating in some worcestershire sauce and soy sauce and some cauli, brocolli, leeks and spring onions chopped up - they are all sitting in my fridge ready for the morning for me to turn on my slowcooker and add some stock so I can come home to a lovely ready made dinner!!
tomorrow lunch will probably be one or 2 of the tuna tins but I dont know what I will have for breakfast yet - Im not a huge breakfast fan so im thinking of having a couple of brownies!
all this talk about food is making me peckish! might go and raid my fridge for some cheese and tikka mayo!!!0 -
Hi peeps :hello:
just preparing to get back on track, i don`t seem to have much of an appetite since having the dreaded lurgy but have just forced down some scrambled eggs and bacon that i`m pre cooking to take to work tomorrow,
Earlier i took a pack of OOD sausages that i found in the bottom of the fridge to work and cooked them there but i got a bit too busy and forgot about themthey ended up cremated but i managed to chew through half of them and then binned the rest.
Not managed to lose any weight - probably due to the amount of nasty stuff in the cough medicine/ night nurse/ beechams powders etc etc that i`ve been living on but now i`m all set to get back on track in the morning.
First night without night nurse tonight :j
Well done Boozer - thats a good result!
The lamb balti in the slowcooker is going to see me through the next few days, don`t mind eating the same thing for tea when it`s something that i really like so fingers crossed that it turns out ok. I made a chilli yesterday that ended up in the bin cos it was `òrrible`. The mince was off and it was only bought the same morning.
Off for a shower and then bed methinks as i`ve an early 4am start in the morning.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
I've got a lurgy now too! All in my throat. Slept a lot today and going off to bed now, feel cold and I hardly ever feel cold.
Still, made my eggy bacony muffiny things tonight and had a lovely burger with coleslaw for evening meal. Lay on sofa and watched X Factor for a change.
Tomorrow it's hair cut time. :j Feel like Dougal the Dog :rotfl:
Electric blanket has been switched on for ages so the bed will be all toastie.
Night all.0 -
Had a nice tipsy slumber and am up for a cuppa and a shower
Newcook, i wondered if it was QT instant tea, we love it in this house, although they recently changed the packaging and the recipe, it gets floaty bits if you dont give it a good stir.
Its only 99p in Wilkinsons or Home Bargains, used to be £1.49 in Tesco.
We go through loads as its a nice change from a normal cuppa
I'm off for a quick game of bejeweled on FB.0 -
Woke up voiceless!
Had my coconut oil and then egg muffin and now just gathering my strength for a shower. Getting a hair cut soon too...
Quiet day planned, sitting at my laptop dealing with all the emails from last week. Off to Sheffield tomorrow for a meeting. Going up to Glasgow for the weekend so need to sort out my work life first.
Lunch will be low carb something or other - as will evening meal.0 -
Morning peeps :hello:
Hope everyone that's ill (or hungover) feels better soon.
newcook, that's a disappointment that QT is tea!! Bleurgh!! Can't stand tea!! Was hoping you had discovered another low-carb treat  Btw, haven't seen the flavoured mayos you mentioned so will have to have a look in Tesco for them, they sound nice.
B - 3 x chipolata sausages & fried egg
L - 2 x crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - beef, green beans, cauli mash, cheese sauce
The beef cooked beautifully yesterday & plenty for another meal for 4 today!! Very MSE!!If the deal is still on in M&S I'm going to get another two to put in the freezer.
Anyway, better go as my sausages are cooking in the George Foreman & I need to cook my egg.
Have a lovely day everyone, tis a sunny one here :wave:0 -
Where is everyone today??
Ok, I'll talk to myself
Been to Co-op for more fish in butter sauce.
That's it really0
