Morning Mercy, hope you'r feeling ok today, good job they caught him, but what an idiot, i spose some people just dont know any better.

Morning all, tis a beautiful day and i'm fed up, i just cant stay focussed on lc, every time i pass the fruit bowl i want to reach for something, funny how i managed through the summer, but am really missing fruit now.
I'm thinking (and wondering) if i should go on SW red days again  Its lots of eggs, veg, meat (no fat) lots of fruit, low fat yogurt, a small daily chunk of cheese and a very small daily amount of either bread/pots/cereal.
Its a bit more versatile but, staying lc stops you being hungry.
    I am in a quandry icon9.gif

Oh and the 'sins' i save for a twice weekly drink :undecided

    Have started afresh today.

As a change from sausages, i bought a huge German salami from Lidl, was £3.79 but is as big as a cucumber, now i know you can eat it from the pack, but i fried it, OMG was soo flavourfull, like super bacony bacon
Had it with scrambled eggs and sliced fried tomato. What a diet!!
    Morning all *just* :)

Have a dinner party tonight I'm committed to, so will hopefully start afresh tomorrow, thanks Mazzers, guess I just have to pick myself up again and keep going. Trying to up my water intake as I hear it gives you a bit more zip. Anyone find that?

    Hi all!

Thanks for all the lovely hugs and support.

Today I have eaten some hot beef slices from the market and 1L of tomato juice. Will have some ham later, probably. Not really into eating at the mo but I'm sure it wont last :D

Big naughty treat - I now own a bottle of advocaat. Will indulge later. It's full of sugar and not v good for you but after last few days I'm going to enjoy every sip ;)

Essential shopping - nice pair of leather ankle boots from asda £20. I hate shoe shopping so trying on about 15 pairs today was a bind. Called at asda on way home and there they were :j

When bad stuff happens you find out who your friends are. Family, friends, strangers, neighbours and folk on here have been very kind, it is well appreciated.

I have decided that i cant be trusted to have just one slice of bread so its lc all the way now then,
I think this is what happened last time i tried SW, its all or nothing with bread.
Also, i've got awful heartburn so thats clinched it.

Morning - I'm back from my travels. Got a thick throat and am croaky but nothing else.. most weird.

Managed to be semi-LC with the odd indulgence of a glass of wine or four (on one night only). Only missed the coconut oil and flaxseed oil so back to that regime too.

Got a BIGGGGGGGG fancy do/black tie job to attend for work in early December so the battle is on! :j

Sorry to hear about all the woes of the week, it all sounds horrendous in all ways. So hugs all round.

Boozer - what a magnificent result, it's putting all the girlies to shame and just shows what can really be done with maximum effort. Enjoy your leave to the full.

I'm off now to stock up my almost empty 'fridge. Not even got any milk for morning drink, but brought back some of those little milk sticks in anticipation.

I hope everyone's day is good - sun is shining over Geordieland and the tree in front of my house is gradually turning a blazing brown. Mind you the tree at the back of my house is turning an amazing blazing red (rowan tree I think).
  • Morning all :hello:

Having a lovely, lazy Sunday morning, brekkie is in the oven cooking away & I'm just having a coffee :D

    B - 3 x pigs in blankets & fried egg (can't wait) & cheese pod (couldn't wait)
    L - 2 x crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage (can't wait)
D - roast beef, cheesy leeks, cauli mash (can't wait)

Had far too many glasses of wine last night, actually lost count but think it was 5 or 6 :o Blaming the hubby, he was drinking wine last night & he has a larger capacity than me but I was trying to keep up!!
Had some cheese cubes as well but that's the only addition to my menu for yesterday, unlike the night before when I was rather hungry!! :o

mazzers, glad you have decided on low-carb, you know it's the right thing for you ;)
Things that have helped me stick with low-carb this time are those crispbreads & cauli mash, can't get enough of 'em!! :D

Right, off to drink my coffee before it goes cold & brekkie is ready in 10 mins. Have a good day everyone

I just thought i would update on my progress, it is now 5 weeks since i began, after 3 and a half weeks i was wondering if it was worth it, now i weighed myself today and i have lost 6Kg, (13.2 lbs in old money), i put on my jeans this morning(5 weeks since i have worn them) and they are falling off me, i dont have a belt so will have to endure the flights from africa back to aberdeen holding my troosers up.

3 weeks off now in Scotland is going to be the big test, will see how i get on, according to the height/weight chart i still have another 4/5Kg to lose before i get into the OK range, so if i dont put much on in the next 3 weeks, then i should manage it on my next 5 week working trip.

Hey well done, thats amazing, took me about 12 weeks to lose a stone and i even tried fasting!

Dont you go spoiling things in Scotland now, mind you boyo :D

uh-oh! i fell off the wagon yesterday!!

went for lunch and everything seemed to come with chips so I thought stuff it and had a mini tex mex platter (onion rings, potato wedges, chicken gourjon and garlic bread!), then I had far too much white wine on the evening and had beef curry with rice and chips from the chinese!! oh and I had a bag of crisps!

I am swiftly jumping back on before the carb binge on my birthday.

low carb goodies bought yesterday are:
QT -1.1 carb per 25g serving
a jar of hellmans with sundried tomatoes and a jar with tikka - both 0.7 carbs per 15g serving
1 x twin pack slimmers world tuna with creamy tomato - 3.8 carbs per 100g (tins are 80g each)
1 x twin pack slimmers world tuna with lime dressing - 3.5 carbs per 100g (again tins are both 80g)
