Sausages - Its hard to find any with NO filler, I just look for any with a high meat content.
Black Farmer are about 90% and I quite like them - we can get them in Tesco.
Debbie and Andrew Harrogate have 97% and I think pretty much no filler - definitely available at Tesco near me. I prefer the Black Farmer ones but OH prefers these.
My absolute favourites are Marks and Spencer Chipolata's - NOT the organic ones which have more filler just the ordinary ones. Mind you I haven't had these for months so knowing my luck they've discontinued or changed them
Hello all BTW - haven't completely vanished just snowed under at work and struggling to keep up here. Have currently got the lurgy and feeling like absolute carp. I'm having really weird cravings for bread and butter pudding and malt loaf and yesterday ate two hot cross buns. Bad Bad girl! And I'm likely to do it again today.
How is it other's go off their food when feeling unwell and I just want to eat everything in sight? The hot cross buns were the worst, but definitely not the only transgression!0 -
Any of the high meat content sausages are lower carb than the usual, Tesco do Debbie and Andrew (or something like that) sausages which were the lowest i found, not cheap, but high meat.
I love the Tesco frozen (dont usually like frozen sausages) chorizo style ones, £2 per pack 6.1g carbs per two sausages, quite high but lovely and spicy, bought loads when they were on offer at half price, dont know if its a seasonal product tho as they were with the bbq stuff.0 -
sweetserendipity wrote: »AH, I buy chipolata sausages from Co-op (it was 2 packs of 10 for £4.50 but don't know if they are still on offer) they are high meat content & low-carb. As long as you look for sausages with a high meat content you should be fine.Always_Harassed wrote: »Can anyone help? Thanks.
I though I already had?! ^^^
Couldn't get the chipolata sausages the other day so bought pork sausages (91% meat & 1.5g carbs per sausage) and lincolnshire sausages (84% meat & 1g carb per sausage)
The offer in the Co-op is still on £4.50 for 2 packs - you get 6 in each pack of the normal size sausages.
If you don't have a Co-op, Tesco do cumberland chipolata sausages that are really nice & low-carb, think they are £2.59 per pack (finest range).0 -
Morning all :hello:
Just a quickie cos I want to get into town early
B - 2 sausages (cooked in the George Foreman ) & fried egg
L - 2 x crispbreads with butter & cheese, garlic sausage
D - fish in butter or parsley sauce or maybe one of each with cauli mash (just for a change)
Going to have a look in M&S for their Dine in for £10 deal just to see if there's anything low-carb. That's where I get my garlic sausage from - tis lovely. Also need more of my crispbreads as only enough to last me til Sunday - eek so have to get myself to H&B as well!! Can't live without them!!
Anyway, hope everyone is well, yippee tis Friday!! See you all laters :wave:0 -
Forgot to say, there will be wine on the menu tonight as well!!0

Morning, I've fallen off the wagon big style, had a panic attack early Monday morning and just been in carb hell ever since
Can't seem to focus and sort myself out at the moment
Me neither
Have started afresh today.
As a change from sausages, i bought a huge German salami from Lidl, was £3.79 but is as big as a cucumber, now i know you can eat it from the pack, but i fried it, OMG was soo flavourfull, like super bacony bacon
Had it with scrambled eggs and sliced fried tomato. What a diet!!0 -
