Hi all, been rather quiet again today.
Cant seem to get motivated, need a firework up the bum
Need to go out but is pouring with rain.
Looking forward to lighting the fire, lighting the candles and watching a nice film with a glass or two of wine later
Ah well, back to the chores0 -
Yes tis quiet, feels like a monologue sometimes
Wish I had a fire to lightFunnily enough I was looking at fires in B&Q today. Got rid of the 'stove' type electric one that was in when we moved in & still haven't replaced it. Infact the front room/dining is still not finished being decorated
We still have no flooring & the feature wall needs another coat of paint. My brother visited yesterday & made me feel a bit ashamed, hence the visit to B&Q today to get more paint.
Managed to get some mushrooms in M&S today so will have the exact same dinner as yesterday  Also got 2 x salmon & a mini beef roast in their 3 for £10 offer so will have that during the week.
Been out all day shopping & came back looking like a mad woman because of the fretty rain!! I'm a Leo so have a mane of hair which is looking a bit wild atm due to not having had a hair cut for about 6 months!!Another thing on my 'to do' list!!
suzy, good luck with starting lcing again

Just popping in - been there and back since Sunday and going off tomorrow morning early again and not home until Friday evening.
Got a lock 'n' lock box in the car stuffed with mini pepperami and mini cheeses, it's so handy! I left Leicestershire this morning at 5.45a.m., called into to Mucky Ds for a coffee and then munched on a couple of my snacks on the drive through the pouring rain all the way to Durham. Had a meeting there and then nibbled on the way home again. Sorted.
Got a wine cooling in the fridge with my name written on it. Cheese and wine has to be part of the UK culture?
No backsliding you lot  Normal service will be resumed for me soon.0 -
Hello - long time no speak - hope everyone is well and keeping on with their WOE whatever it might be.
Well nearly got DH sorted now just go to wait to see consultant now that his EEG and CT's are back to see what he suggests now. Have also found out he needs to go on a gluten free diet, along with his diabetes this is proving interesting to say the least.
So him sorted it was my turn and ended up in hosp having a large ovarian cyst removed and I am 4 weeks out of surgery and getting ready to start on my low-carb life once again (although not the best way to lose weight I did end up 6lbs lighter post surgery - now that is scary esp thinking what pressure it put on my insides). Have my check in 2 weeks so once I get the all clear on that I will be back with you all once again.0 -

Hi Emma,
You could try my breakfast which is stewed apple (or any other fruit) topped with a mix of powdered almonds, almond flakes, ground flaxseeds, sunflower seeds etc lightly toasted under the grill (make enough for a week and keep in a tupperware box) topped with cream or natural yoghurt. 'Tis yum!
I think you can buy Atkins bars but I don't think they come recommended according to other peeps here (never tried them myself).
BTW, GreenDay last Friday were superb! 'Is nibs of course was keen to get to the front and we ended up 4 rows back. Very squashy and hot and came out looking like we'd been in the shower with lots of bits of tissue paper stuck to our bods!Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -

Had my brekkie & I have to say, spinach is an acquired taste methinks. When I used it last night with the mushroom & creamy cheesy sauce I couldn't actually taste it, but I've just had it in a cheese omelette & it was a bit strong. Didn't chop it up today so don't know whether that made a difference?? Anyway, I shall persevere with it.
Sorry you didn't enjoy the spinach Sweet - I chop it up for my omelette. Maybe you'd prefer it if you start with a small amount & then increase it gradually. I think it'll be worth it, for - ahem - regularity - if you can get to enjoy it.0 -
Sweet, is only a gas fire but it didnt work last year and i couldnt get anyone to fix it.
It gives off a terrific heat, and is great for when you dont want the heating on but just to get the room all cozy
Moonrose, will be nice to have you back. Get well soon as they say
Keep it up Gers
Welcome to Emma, the Atkins bars can stall weight loss supposedly so dont bother.
Have an ommelette or boiled eggs or LC sausages til you're off induction then you can have some yogurt with berries and nuts.. lush0 -
Hello.
brekkie: stewed fruit/yoghurt/seeds (yum)
lunch: vegetable soup (loads), fruit, (and a packet of snack a jacks -shuuuush don't tell!)
Dinner - salad (so far, there will be more food I am sure).
Autumn is a terrible season for me. Not only is it dark (so I get even more crabby than usual) but the shops are full of my favourites. Mmmm, satsumas.....MmmmMMMmm christmas pudding......
Anyhoooo, enough of me dribbling on.
