Well i jumped on the scales yesterday again, lost about 0.3Kg, hardly worth speaking about but it is downwards which is positive.

I am stuck in an oilfield camp in Africa, and it is very hard to stick to low carb here, and i guess most of you know how hard it is to walk past huge bowls of chips and pasta and bread, but i think i am managing fine, although i have been very tempted somedays.

10 days left and then back for the big test in Scotland, my land for pizzas and lager most days, boy is it going to be tough.

Sounds exciting to me but is probably not

Dont know if i could walk past the big bowls of carbs so well done on that icon7.gif

Dont know how much 0.3kg is, if its not in lbs and oz most of us are a bit lost :rotfl:

Keep it up, and there'll be quite a difference by the time you come back to bonny Scotland ;)

I’ve been a naughty girl again…!!! Went out last night and had only planned on having one or 2 then going home for my lovely curry but instead had about 1 bottle of rose and a couple of glasses of dry white  !!!! by the time I had got home I was past being hungry so didn’t even have my curry :( – 3 guesses whats for tea tonight!!!

Its also TOTM and all I want is comfort foods like pie and mash, or beans or chips…

On a brighter note though, I can now fit in a pair of jeans that the other week wouldn’t fit!!! I admit, the fit is snug but snug is better than not being able to do up the button!!

Breakfast has been 2 babybells and a can of sugarfree redbull, lunch will be cucumber, lettuce and some sardines and tea is my lovely curry!!!

Will the flax bread recipe still work without the seeds being ground?!?! I know, Im clutching at straws but I NEED BREAD!!!!!!!

NO NO NO, dont try it, read on here somehere that they are not good for you whole, think they can cause diverticulitis or something.

Mind you, dont think it'd work anyway coz they need to be ground into a 'flour' otherwise its gonna be eggs and seeds.. yuk

The seeds can get stuck in your intestine. Use a coffee mill, a blender or something like that. Unless you can get to use some tool best to buy the ready milled stuff.

Boozer didnt realise you were in Africa.I bet you have a tan and not rust like the rest of us:rotfl:By my reckoning 0.3kg in Imperial measurements is about 10.5 ounces so give or take a bit you've done really well

  • Turns out DD2 is getting bullied by a thug on the school bus :( This is as well as falling out with her so-called 'friend' and feeling under the weather. No wonder she was upset this morning :( School are sorting the bullying out so I'm just waiting for her to get home so I can give her a big cuddle. Teacher thought she should stay at school, bit like you said mazzers, good (but tough) life experience for her. And yes it does hurt me as well as making me mad as hell with the sw1nes who have made her cry.

Any hints & tips for boosting her self-esteem/confidence gratefully received. She is a lovely, sweet, quiet girl but I think she needs a bit of a boost. I was thinking kick-boxing

Have taken my anger out on an overgrown bush in the back garden, tis now twigs!! Looks a mess but I feel better for it.
  • Back on the subject of low-carb

This is an article I've posted before on linseeds, thought it was worth posting again for peeps that haven't seen it.

could so easily jump off the low carb wagon!!

had a really !!!!py day at work - my supervisor had a go at me infront of my colleagues even though they had all done the same thing (only had a go at me though!)
have only just stopped shaking from being so angry he belittled me like that - have also had a good cry which helped!
plus I have my period so am more emotional than normal :( !!
