yay!!! am so happy! I have lost 6lb this week!!!!
I know its mainly water as its my first week but 6lb is still 6lb!!!! this has also encouraged me to be strong this weekend - though I will have a treat of a drink or 2! I have stocked up on the mini pepperami's for when I go to the pub so I can snack on them instead of caving in and having a bag of crisps!!!!
for those who like pepperami's they are only 0.2 carbs (the mini pepperamis - I dont know about the big ones!)0 -
Congratulations!
It's great when the results show...I've spent today in a lovely blue top which didn't fit 2 weeks ago so can share in your joy. However, tonight I have indulged myself in some wine... can do it without guilt as tomorrow I eat only fat/protein/vegetables.
I had to test one of the wines delivered today - has to be allowed?0 -
Morning peeps
Newcook - Well done, great loss :T
Sotonsaverjen - Happy Birthday :bdaycake:have a smashing day!
Well i`ve been good - mostly its just that yesterday and the day before i ended up with something extra sneaking its way to my tumboth days i ate a whole terrys chocolate orange in one go
 i`m not sure yet how much damage has been done but it looks like i`m down for a very strict fortnight coming up
Serves me right really for not posting, when i don`t post i go off track and when i do it seems to keep me on the straight and narrow, i need to pop in here at least once a day or more often otherwise i`ve nothing to motivate me - without that i`m doomed lol.
Anyhoo, today i`m off to the supermarket so i shall be making a nice shopping list of low carby type things and there will be no chocolatey type things on it whatsoever
Have a lovely no carby type day peeps.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
I have been on a low carb diet for 3 weeks now, but i must say that i never feel as good as i used to, i have lost about 3Kg but i have been going to the gym 6 nights a week, so hopefully i am turning fat into muscle aswell, and i did not take any measurements of my stomach to really check if i am losing it from there or not, but just looking in the mirror i am not all that pleased with the results so far.
All the best to the rest of you who are on it.0 -
of cours it does - its the law!!! was it a dry white?? they arent too bad - its the rose and sweet wines that are bad!!
It was a very lovely Australian unoaked chardonnay (Jim Jim) not my favourite variety but it did go down very well - only trouble is that it kicked a big punch. Today I am up and about and feeling fine, may have to indulge in some retail therapy to remove the wine 'guilt'!;)
Had my coconut oil and now waiting for breakfast. Have no idea what the rest of the meals will be today but the fridge is packed with stuff so something tasty will turn up.
Rangers are playing at Furry Boots City :rotfl: so should be good. I don't really 'like' footie but follow (follow) Rangers' results. My Dad's family are a little fanatical about them and I'm only bothered that they win! Dad used to take me to Ibrox when I was young and I hated it... bovril and scotch pies, no facilities for girls/women etc etc.
Hey ho - have a LC weekend unless you're celebrating birthdays, in which case enjoy a HC weekend and suffer on Monday! :eek:0 -

Are your clothes not loose? I'm not doing any weighing but my clothes are really wafting around me and I'm able to wear some that have been unusable for many a long year.
Putting on weight didn't happen overnight and neither will losing it! Be in any form of weight loss/training regime for the long haul. Good luck to you.0 -
hopefully i am turning fat into muscle
Or losing fat and gaining muscle cos you cant turn one into the other! Sorry pet peeve for us bodybuilding types, along with protein shakes being akin to steroids and that lifting anything more than a pink dumbell will turn you into Arnie overnight
Things have been a bit rubbish in Yummy land over the last few days with a big flare up of my skin thing (Hidradenitis) so been feeling rather pants and not able to concentrate on the eating/training as much as I would like. Hoping all will be OK for Tuesday when bf comes home after 7 weeks away, and first day back at Uni, so I can start properly again.
Think I'm going to have to be very strict and boring and eat a very clean, natural although not necessarily LC diet for a while to see if it does make a difference to my HS. There's nothing useful the conventional medical world can do, so am turning to diet and maybe acupuncture instead to see if that can make a difference.
So i may not be actively LCing but will still check in on you guys/gals cos I've got quite comfy in here!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -

Dobie, Happy Birthday for yesterday!! :bdaycake: You kept that one quiet!!

Sunny, bleurgh to the orange chocolate!! Absolutely hate orange chocolate!! _pale_
Boozer, well done on the 3kg off!! :T Although I don't know what that is in lbs & ozs!!
Gers, I had half a bottle of Pinot Grigio last night, don't know if it's dry?? Nice though!!
yummy, shame about your skin flaring up, hope you get it sorted. Never heard of hidradenitis?? Yes, do keep coming back here.
Well, I was such a goody two shoes last night :A Had my gorgeous chicken dish (stuffed with mushroom duxelle & covered in a luscious creamy, mushroomy sauce) Mmmmmmmmm. Came with boiled potatoes, green beans & carrots but I only ate the green beans. I am sooooo good!! :rotfl: Long may it continue!!
B - 3 chipolata pork sausages & fried egg
L - salad
D - ??
Dinner should be something with mince, according to my meal planning, but I'm heading to M&S today so will see what catches my eye.
Have a great weekend everyone

Thank you.
You'd keep it quiet too if you were as ancient as me.
Pinot Grigio is dry - one of my favourites when icy cold. YUM.
I bought a bottle of voddie for the birthday celebrations & had a couple of those last night - glasses, not bottles - with slimline tonic. Not strictly allowed but still zero carbs.0
