Where is everyone getting sugarfree jam from and what brand should I look for? I can't seem to see it anywhere.
Also, I have seen those silicone muffin cases in poundland recently. Worth a look if there is one near you.0 -
I recently found an open jar of long-forgotten sugar-free jam in my fridge (obviously bought it for my kids, I can't stand jam, bleurgh!!)
St. Dalfour Rhapsodie de Fruit - High fruit content spread - Strawberry.
Seem to remember getting it from Tesco. It's in a skinny long jar rather than the usual shape jam jar.
I've had a look/sniff & it seems to be ok still, probably been open for a few months, says consume within 4 months after opening!!
It says 56g carbs per 100g of which sugars 56g which seems a lot to me, but maybe you only need a smidgen of it??
Btw, thanks for the poundies info!!0 -
Can anyone recommend a mint/gum I can use that is low in carbs?!?! At the minute I am slowly sucking tic-tacs but they are half a carb each!!!0

Lol @ the tic tacs, i snap a polo mint into 4 and make it last for ages :rotfl:
Mercy - i`ve saved your delicious sounding recipe to make when i get chance.
Mazzers - Enjoy the freezing lager *goes green with envy*
Todays meals were bacon sausage and buttery scrambled eggs for breakfast, mackerel in oil for dinner, a chicken thigh for a snack and lettuce, philly, chicken, cheese and salami for tea. I`ve been good so far so i`m quite pleased
I`m interested in the silicone muffin thingys mentioned earlier and i`ve seen them in loads of places but always end up mauling them and then putting them back, i can`t quite make my mind up about them, part of me thinks "buy em" and another part says "nooooooooo" i know its daft but i keep imagining them melting or the contents tasting plasticy
Just need to sort my brekkie out to take to work in the morning and then i`m turning in for an early night, i`ve got the early shift this week and the 4am starts are taking their toll.
Have a good evening peeps.

It does seem rather a lot as 'regular' jam isn't much different.:rotfl: Also sugar free jam with sugars  How does that happen?
Stick with the raspberry coulis, at 20g carb per 100g it's a much better bet. Thought sf jam would be like sf jelly and actually sugar free? It's a funny old world and no mistake :rotfl:

Morning Everyone
I'm a very very very happy little bunny this morning as I have weighed myself this morning and lost an amazing 3lbs!!!!Checked it several times so no blip on the scales.I did only manage to eat a mushroom omelette yesterday due to a domestic with my OH but hey 3lbs is 3lbs.I've just got another 3lbs to lose and I hit target!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OH is a little worried though as I'm now in a size 10 and he's worried that the extra 3lbs might just push me into a size 8 and he doesnt want me to get too skinny so could I possibly eat a little more please.I never thought I'd hear those words come out of his mouth but it made me smile. You might think 3lbs wouldnt push me down a dress size but I've found that I lose more inches than I lose lbs but I could do with losing a couple of inch off my boobs as for some reason they are still quite large and tbh getting out of proportion with the rest of me!
Can I just weigh into the silicone bakeware debate and say that I own loads of the bloody stuff and its rubbish.I have the cake cases and every damn thing I've ever tried in them has stuck to them and they are an absolute nightmare to clean.
Mazzer glad you're having a nice time and I'm not at all jealous of the view or the weather or the large amount of food and alcohol you are consuming. No I'm not really I'm not *sob* *sob*

Morning peeps :hello:
newcook, I would think any sugar-free mint/gum would be ok, as long as you don't consume them in large quantities, they have a laxative effect!!
Mercy, I think the 'sugars' in the sugar-free jam are fruit sugars, same as your raspberry coulis will still have fruit sugars in. I would much prefer your coulis though!!
Btw, remembered that we had the St. Dalfour jam conversation earlier in the thread, infact I think that's what prompted me to check the jam in my fridge!!Old memory going a bit!!
Lesley, well done on the 3lbs off!! And being a size 10!! *in my dreams, in my dreams*
Sunny, well done on getting back on track so quickly!! *in my dreams, in my dreams*:rotfl:
Well, I've had my brekkie but I didn't enjoy it that much. Getting a bit fed up with egg, egg & more egg!! Getting a bit egged out.Really fancying the raspberries/blueberries & cream that I used to have, much lighter & fresher on a morning.
B - 2 egg cheese omelette
L - tuna salad
D - will decide & post later
Another busy day ahead & my head is a bit floaty, just want to stay in but I gotta go out, think I'll have another cup of coffee first ...
Have a lovely day all :wave:0 -
On the run!
Had my egg muffin thing - much better with no water and some cream instead, more weighty and not soggy at all.
Got a 100 mile drive now, a 20 minute meeting and then a 100 mile drive home.
Will be lunch on the run too so will probably take an eggy thing with me to eat in the car park before I drive home.
Happy day folks.0 -
am I being a bit of a div or can you end up with negative carbs?????
just come back from the shops and got a chicken tikka deli sandwich filler thing - on the lable it says per 100g there is 2.1 carbs and 3.1 fibre - does that mean its -1carbs net?!??!!?
p.s - its lurvly!!!!!0 -
I think that UK packaging gives carbs as net carbs already, so don't subtract the fibre from the carbs and use 2.1 as your net carbs.
Sounds well tasty though.0
