It's still trying to rain here, I'm up in the border hills. He doesnt drink enough and I'm sick of telling him. But also we think it's some of the heart meds he's on that cause this. This diet has just made everything much worse..:(0

I cannot take the psyllium husks because they make me heave - not a good way to lose weight though!0

Hiya
Here's a little light reading on artificial sweeteners, I found it interesting.

Still not left the house, manky outside

If you have any doubts about the low-carb WOE for your OH please check with his Dr, it worries me that you think the diet has made things worse for him.0 -
well, pet, when we went to the doc recently to find OH was diabetic, I came home and read up on treatments & diets. This LC one looked by far the best for diabetes - I found a Dr. Bernstein website & book and that felt right to me. But we had a lot of probs since OH went on it. I'm on the same diet, I'm not diabetic & dont have heart disease, and I'm fine.
So its like this diet isn't right for him, or conflicts with something else that he's doing or taking... If it's for yourself, you don't mind takign chances and trying things out, but if its your family then you agonise over what to do for the best eh ! I will have a think over the weekend and see how he goes, he is sound asleep now- UNHEARD of during the day !0 -

Back on topic
For food today had
coconut oil n supplements
Meat off chicken leg, mushroom and spring onion finely chopped, all stir fried quickly in butter. To this I added 2 beaten eggs and some grated cheese. Came out like a mashed up omlette and tasted great. Still not hungry. :j
Now off to celebrate my shopping with a nice vodi lime soda.
Plan to root some geranium cuttings before the frost can kill the motherplant and maybe do a bit of gardening? Well, that depends on if Neptune still has the NW in his sights or not :rotfl:
Seeyas later lovely people!

As regards the fed up feeling, after my chocolate [STRIKE]splurge[/STRIKE] eating yesterday I felt really down for some reason. I don't think it was guilt pangs for eating it, just think it was the chocolate iyswimMaybe too much sugar over-load affected my mood?? Puts me off eating any more, so that's a positive result then!! :rotfl:
Hmm, didnt think bout that, maybe it is the choc
Had a nice day in work after all, seems to go much quicker when you're short staffed.
Mardatha, my beta blockers make me very tired, i've got used to them a bit but i still have to nap quite a bit
If you google constipation, ( funnily enough i was looking the other day as eating carbs affects me now) and how it 'works' you'll see that drinking water is essential.0 -
Had a good lc day, almonds for brekkie, omelette for lunch, and half a cooked chicken followed by raspberries and yogurt just now.
Great haul Mercy, i love a mosey round the charity shops, i donate quite a bit too,
some with tags still on :rolleyes20 -

Nice one hunnigirl! :j
Me too! It's folk like us that keep that old charity wheel turning!
Not so much with tags on these days though. Think it's the same all round. I've been looking for stuff and there ain't the rich pickings there used to be, generally. Think it's the 'credit crunch' following through.
Not quite the money to go round for shopping for what we won't wear anymore (then donating before hubby sees or we're too ashamed to still have the stuff in the house :rotfl:)
Then folk decide 'I can get a few more wears out of this' before giving it up.
Also, charity shops are reducing some prices so people will still go in as they're all in competition with Primark
For me though, charity shops have the edge still. Might not find stuff as often as before but it's all a 1 off now and when you rate style over fashion - that's a boon
That's why I feel so fortunate today, got lots I wanted and it's good stuff. :j
Maybe to do with head stuff. I firmly believe that if you can be as precise as possible about exactly what you want before shopping then you can achieve most of it easily. It's just knowing what you want and letting the unconcious world know about it
I concentrated on exactly what I wanted for a while before shopping, then went into the right shops at the right time. Coincidence? Whatever, it works :rotfl:
