    Morning!

Good weekend, ate just enough but decided that I'm taking in too much cream - been having 2 bowls of berries and cream each day and just making myself sick of it.

My problem is lack of self control - if there's a packet of nuts in the house then I feel the need to eat them all, same with berries and cream and so on. The ONLY way for me is to not have them in the house. Learnt my lesson with biscuits and chocolate ages ago. And it's not even as if I'm hungry or bored or emotionally upset - I can just hear them shouting at me 'eat me'.

Been sorting out my iPod since silly o'clock, adding in my new music, and then found my old Shuffle (little one) and have cleared that out and stuck on some new stuff too. Have had to stop myself from adding in the artwork from Amazon, it's addictive and I've got a bucketful of work to do.

Off to shower and get myself organised.

Had a eggy bacony muffin for breakfast
Got some defrosted beef casserole and salad for lunch
    Evening meal TBC!

Hope you all have a successful and happy day.

Doing cartwheels because kids are finally back at school!! Been 7 loooooong weeks but now they're back & I have a bit of time to myself - love them to bits but 'me & my 2 shadows' can get a bit wearing sometimes!! :o:D

Anyway, I feel like I can get back into a routine now, well maybe not today because it's been a bit mad this morning, but from tomorrow ...

Supposed to be 'eggs' for dinner tonight but think I might use yesterday's leftover chicken instead. The chicken was meant to be used for packed lunches for hubby & DD1 (coronation chicken) but I 'forgot' to make it so will have it cold tonight (can't stand reheated chicken) with some veggies, maybe cheesy leeks, haven't had them for such a long time *dribble dribble*.

I'm at the Dentist this morning (eek!!) so might see you all later. Have a good day.
  • Good Morning! I AM BACK!!! :D
and this time I mean it!! hehe

I am on day one of induction and so far have had 2 x babybels and a coffee with cream and splenda

I am working for the next 2 weeks doing some holiday cover in an office that I am usual in alone, with not much more to do than answer the phone. This means I have lots of time to myself doing whatever I like, like lurking on the low carb board!! :D

I am hunting down recipes, will finally locate that coque au vin recipe, might even make it tonight, depends on how long the trip to tescos takes....!

Anyway, its good to be back! And good news on kids back to school sweets! woop! Roll on losing 7lbs in the next 2 weeks!

    :)

I'd like to lose 7lb in the next two weeks too. Do you think it's possible? I've accepted I'm not going to look like kylie at my college reunion but I'd like to look a little less like Jabba the hut.... Am really focussing on the exercise at the moment. Doing yoga nad gym; going to try and make the gym every day and alternate running with other cardio.

And must get the message to my husband that if he loves me he'll stop bringinout the wine each evening...
  • well its how much I lost last time I did the induction for 2 weeks, 5lbs in the first week, 2lbs in the second. It does depend on how much you need to lose, I think some heavier people lose a lot more in induction - though don't quote me on that!

Yeah. I've done 7lb in one week once before, but that was after a serious carb binge so lots of it was just 'puff'. I'll settle for anythng right now.

    Hi peeps

i`m back on track now with NO acid :j a friend suggested that i should ry to eat a very small amount of carby stuff with my evening meal and it worked - oh i`m so relieved as it felt as if it was taking over my life. Last night i had chilli with just a spoonful of rice and that was enough to stop it completely.

I`ve just had dinner, well it was brekkie too as i didn`t bother earlier and had scramblies with bacon and mushrooms, tonight will either be chicken and veg or something with lamb. Both need using up and i think that i shall make a lamb hotpot for DH and filter out some meat and a bit of veg for me.

Gers - i`m the same with sweet stuff like biccies and chocolate - can`t leave it alone if it`s there but i`m ok with nuts most of the time.

Sarah - My DH gets the wine out every single night without fail, it bugs the hell out of me that i`m making it all and he`s drinking it all but i`m getting used to it. My saving grace is that i can look forwards to a nip of voddie once a week.

Got weighed this morning and i`m pleased to say my total loss is now 1 stone 8 lb :j looks like my binge the other day kick started me.

    Have a good afternoon guys.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p
  • hello fellow Icers!

OH has been sick with man flu over the weekend but I have sent him back to work today so I can have a rest! I'm not a nice person to be around at the mo. Just had a mirena fitted and I seem to be sucking out 5 years worth of hormones in one go! Crabby, moi? I won't mention the plooks...
Managing to stay low-ish carb, weight sticking but at least not gaining. Planning a visit to Germany in a couple of weeks to stay with OH's evil gran (who doesn't like me for stealing her grandson) -known as Granny DeVille. veggie icing may be a challenge -she is known for sabortarging (sp?) diets.

    Sweet-hope Dentist goes ok. xx

Dentist was fine, thanks marrow :D Don't have to go back for another 12 months. Phew!!

Has been, and still is, a beautiful day today. DD2 came home from school whining about how it's always sunny on a school day & that it'll probably be raining at the weekend ... she's probably right!!

Think we might have a family walk on the beach after dinner
