I grew up with egg and chips cooked with lard too, could never decide between brown sauce or ketchup, so always had both
Been really tired today, couldnt wait to get home and get my pj's on too.0 -
OMG could you people please stop talking about chips on a low carb forum:mad::rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Morning!
Had coconut oil and my breakfast muffin and some flaxseed oil with my berries and cream so now ready to face the day. Perhaps best to get showered and dressed first though.
Happy LC day folks.0 -
well quite pleased with myself as I got up this morning and weighed less than ever!only 1/2lb down on my previous best but its a new low.But OH has a day of excess planned so wont be weighing this low again for a few days lol.

Morning all,
struggling to get back to low carb as I didn't really like the cream cheese muffins, really made me gag actually. If I don't start the day low carb thats it, downhill from there.
Mum has gone back to work today and dads working in his office so I don't think I'll get ear ache for having eggs and sausages this morning.
Well done lesley! you're really near your target now!
have a nice day folks xSPC5 #1651 total so far: £78.590 -
I always used to have cereal for breakfast, mainly because it was quick and easy. But since January I've been having 'apple crumble' for breakfast which is nearly as quick and easy. I cut up and cook (in the microwave when I'm at home) an apple on top of which I sprinkle a mix of ground up flax seeds, flaked almonds, ground almonds and sesame seeds or sunflower seeds. On top of that goes either natural yoghurt or cream, depending on what I have. During these last few weeks I have been sometimes substituting apple and blackberries if they are in the fridge. I know that fruit isn't strictly low carb, but I don't want to give up fruit and I find it works for me.Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0

Sorry:rotfl:
Morning everyone :hello:
Beautiful sunny day here so got washing out early as forecast heavy rain later
I wonder if those cream cheese muffins are anything like the cream cheese pancakes I made once - they made me gag as well!! Still willing to give them a go though, especially with Gers' ingredients, they do sound good.
Lesley, I'm dying to know what excesses your OH has planned for today!! Or maybe I don't!! :rotfl:
Gaye, I like the sound of your breakfast. I would much prefer something like that on a morning than a cooked breakfast. I've been having low-gi toast with peanut butter but quite fancy a 'fresher' breakfast for a change & I do have foraged brambles in the freezer!!
The meal-plan dinner for tonight is chicken. Might do a curry but DD2 wants me to make an escalope type thing, with pesto & mozzarella, but that would involve a trip to Tesco as I don't have either of those ingredients in the house, whereas I do have currySo, do I keep DD2 or the bank balance happy?? That is the question?! :rotfl:
Have a good day all :wave:0 -
