Interesting to see what supplements people take. When I've done Atkins before, I've not bothered - but as I'm a little older (cough) I thought it would be a good idea this time.
I take:
multivit/mineral (no iron)
chromium
sustained-release vitamin C (because I also indulge in the filthy habit that Mercy mentions above )
co-enzyme Q10
vitamin B complex
L-glutamine
milk thistle (because I like a drink)
psyllium husks
I've no idea if they do me any good. And I don't notice whatsoever if I forget to take them for a day or two.
Perhaps I should add cod liver oil capsules to that lot. And when I get round to ordering it from the US, I think I'll join you vitamin D ladies (and Ted).0 -
Morning all,
Well done to all that are still losing and chin up to the one's that are having a harder time this week.
Another member for the surgery club, i have a wish list of things i would change if like others have said win i win the lottery lol.
Some interesting points on vitamins and suppliments i am terrible for buying them and then leaving them to collect dust in the cupboard with good intentions of remembering to take them tomorrow whoops, must try harder!
Mercy good luck with the flying at the weekend.
I have a late start at work this morning so made sure i have had breakfast this morning, had a bowl of scrambled eggs with some crispy salami was yum!
And i have dusted down my cross trainer and managed 20 mins for the last two nights so hope i see some results from that as well fingers crossed.
Anyway hi to all and i'll try and post some more personal replies next time as well to everyone else x0 -
Morning folks,
I feel a bit bloated today and guess what.. i've put on a lb:eek: my clothes are getting looser tho
Didn't expect that after IF for 3 days so not doing it any more, had i got results i'd have more incentive, I know its early days but praps it doesn't agree with me so sod it
Not hungry this morning tho so only gonna eat when i actually feel hungry not because its meal time.
Mercy, i'd be worried too :rotfl: find airports quite confusing, mind you, after years of not using public transport dont think i'd know how to catch the right bus now:rolleyes:

I went to a pound shop and bought one of those pill reminder boxes for all week. Set it up once a week and leave it somewhere you notice it. surprising how easy it is to get into the habit.
I've seen em in home bargains too.

I've been meaning to do that too, but at the mo, i have them on my bedside table and always take a drink to bed so i jump into bed and dont forget as they are staring at me0 -
Good morning all :hello:
I've been out shopping this morning & stocked up on lots of lovely lc stuff.
I'm smiling cos I've just had a late brekkie & it was yummy & filling!!
Seems there are lots of us who would consider plastic surgery if we had the money/won the lottery- mazzers you will have to win more than a tenner if you're paying for all of us!! :rotfl:
paula, thanks a lot for the offer of a pilates compilation dvd, I'll have a think about it (ie. will I honestly use it?) & pm you.
Thanks everyone for the info on supplements - you lot must do some serious rattling!! The cost does worry me slightly though. HC, has taking Milk Thistle made a difference do you think?? That's one supplement I have considered taking for the same reason as you.
Well, it's a gorgeous day out there so I'm going to head off for a walk in a bit. Haven't been doing any exercise & think it's affected my mood so I'll get moving & hopefully lighten up in more ways than one!!
My menu for today
B - 2 cumberland chipolata sausages, 2 rashers bacon, 2 fried eggs (see, that's why I was smiling, I'm full to my neck!!)
L - prawn mayo & salad (methinks will be a late lunch)
D - mazzers lasagne & salad
Have a good day everyone, just noticed it's actually afternoon now!!0 -
Tis quiet on here this afternoon.
I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself because I have been on a 40 minute walk. Just walked around the village & along the seafront. Didn't actually go on the beach today but might tomorrow if it's another nice day. Came back with a tomato red face as it was so warm!!
It didn't stop there either!! When I got back I went into the garage & got the bikes out of hibernation. Quite a lot of cobwebs to fight my way through as mine hasn't seen the light of day for quite some time!! So, dusted it off & pumped the tyres up. Had a very small ride around, ok it was just round & round my car, just to get a feel for it again. Might see if daughter/s want to come for a bike ride after school but, if not, I'm going to go out myself tomorrow!!
The reason for all of this is that I had one of those lightbulb moments earlier today!! I could actually picture myself looking good in my head!! I see a 'fat' photo of myself every day (it's in my knicker drawer!!) but today I looked at my 'slim' photo of 3 & half years ago & I just thought, I can be like that again!!
I just hope & pray that this positive frame of mind continues for more than one day - I'm going to keep looking at that 'slim' photo to motivate myself!!
Just thought I'd share that with you all. :rotfl: Even though there's no one there!! :rotfl:0 -

Lol..I've just arrived.
Been to Tesco as I never got round to it yesterdday.OH and youngest came too and we ended up in a cafe he's found in the back of a tool & DIY place. They did a full breakfast with toast and tea etc for £3.99 and he wanted to try it. I figured I could have sausage bacon and egg but when it came it was square sausage. I didn't think it was too bad until I checked the carb count of the square sausage in Tesco afterwards and it was 11/12 carbs for 2 bits on average. It wasn't even very nice.
Mazzers....ditto. Feel bloated, weighed myself...pound on today. I've done nothing and not one bad thing has passed my lips. Nor is it anywhere near TOTM.I haven't settled into the IF thing well and I feel I'm trying to force my body into something it doesn't want to do, so I'm going back to my old ways which seem to work more often than not.
Sweet, I went to a hypnotherapist years ago to try to help me lose weight and he got me to remember when I was thin and to focus on what I was wearing etc. Which is similar to your piccy thing. Didn't work mind you.:rotfl:You are putting me to shame with the exercise. I might ignore you for a while. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Only kidding!
