My pigs in blankets are in the oven:j I had them yesterday too and they are scrummy, will be having them with salad and either garlic mayo or salsa, cant decide. Its usually a pain trying to find chipolatas with a decent meat content as they seem to be aimed at kids and full of crap, but M&S came up trumps.

You like my new avvie then sweet? I am grumpy smurf:D Kinda missing Richie though:o[/QUOTE]

Yeah, i think he has the edge in the looks department  :D

Pretty much! Cut a bit of streaky bacon in half and stretch it with a knife to make it a bit thinner. They are really good:D

Mmmmmmm, love pigs in blankets, as do my kids so that's a great idea for a different type of lunch!! :T Do you use streaky bacon?? I buy the 'premium' chipolata cumberland sossies from Tesco or Co-op - meat content is pretty good but will have a look in my local M&S as I do prefer M&S food. Will also have a look for their garlic mayo. :D

  • Morning all :hello:

Hiya Mercy, good to see you back :D Just had a look at Wikipedia to see what this Reichenbach Falls/Sherlock was all about!! When I first saw Sherlock in your post, I thought you were on about your poor cat!! :o Tis all clear now!! :rotfl:

Making Jamie Oliver Fishpie for dins tonight, I was hoping to make two & do one of them with a cauli mash topping for me, but DD2 having a friend over so won't be enough fish, so I'll just have to make one & force down the traditional mashed potato!! Such a sacrifice!! :rotfl:

Hubby bought me the Economy Gastronomy book yesterday as a surprise!! Sooooo pleased as I've been following the series on TV & the thread on OS. (G&B, I wouldn't touch rabbit either!!) I really fancy making the poached salmon dish featured this week  but it was poached in about half a bottle of white wine, & I'm off the wine atm :A And I wouldn't trust myself to not drink the other half bottle!! :o

    Anyway, happy days everyone

Morning, just having my second coffee of the day. Had some cold pigs in blankets with salsa for breakfast. They are not as good cold as they are hot but still not too bad.

Weighed myself this morning at 8st 7 so i'm heading in the right direction:p Had put on a couple of pounds with my crappy weekend eating but it was probably just water weight.

Have a lovely low carb day:j

  • Hello all!

No weight lost but no weight gained so kinda happy. Spending lots of time in the "office", so getting plenty of reading done. Think I may have a bit of a tummy bug. You'd think with all this *ahem* I would have lost some weight, there can't be any food left in me!!

Anyway, enough about the loo, going to that London this weekend. Very MSE, staying in Uni halls (much cheaper than a hotel) and printed off lots of entertainment/food vouchers. Not sure I can stay away from the bright lights of Pizza express though. MmmMMMmm OH is dragging me to some plinky plinky concert at the Proms so as a reward for my sitting still that long will be doing some major shopping. yippee!!

Have a nice LC weekend folks!
