Well I'm back after spectacularly falling off the lc wagon due to family wedding and attendant scoff fests! It was my sister's eldest boy's due, lost her just two years ago, so was very emotional and I just flung myself into things and ate what ever was going. No alcohol though as I don't tolerate that too well since the ME. The wedding cake was either chocolate (groom's fave) or tropical fruit pavlova (bride's fave) and so I had both - quelle surprise. The food was fab - reception held at Bill's in North Road Brighton, totally amazing.
Well son has now gone home to Reading and I have stocked up at lidl with good lc things and will now attempt to get my head in order. Must say that I really noticed a return of the wind and blows with all that wheat and what a bloated belly - yuk.
Well done on those amazing weight losses all.0 -
Morning everyone,
i really enjoyed the cod last night so i have been rummaging around in the freezer this morning to see what delights i can find for later.
todays menu is.............
Brekkie - smoked salmon and buttery scrambled eggs
Dinner two small chicken thighs and a cheese triangle (yes am trying chicken again):D
Tea - Tuna steak in soy sauce with coriander and buttered chard.
I have a pepperami hidden away for emergencies
Sweet - I did scratch a tiny bitbut only around the edges where it wasn`t inflamed, it`s tons better today so hopefully back to normal soon.
G&B - ((HUGS)) for you
I watched channel 5 news at 7pm last night, did anyone else see it?
They did a very short piece on low carb diets which gave the usual warnings of blocked arteries and problems later in life  I had to laugh at it and the bacon and sausages that they showed sizzling away in the pan made me want some
A girl who has been working with me temporarily has a relative who is a doctor - he is also low carbing having done it sucessfully many years ago, instead of sticking with the woe he slipped but is now back on track. It was nice to hear that instead of the usual low fat drivel that is preached in most places.
Have a good day everyone!
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
Didnt see the show sunnyday, but did read an article in the paper saying the same thing yesterday:rolleyes:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Just a quick note to give people some motivation who worry about weight gain after a cheat meal/day. My cheat meal was the most mahoosive load of food at Pizza Hut on Sat night and Sunday wasn't lc but just kind of OK, so monday morning I weighed in at 11st. Fast forward only 2 days of low carb, and this morning I'm 10st 10lb!
So don't worry if you don't have a good day and end up weighing more, cos if you stick with it again, then it will come off again, and more besides!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
Hi everyone!! being very good low carb wise, only thing which is my weakness is nuts. I always say this yet i cant resist one bit.
Last night made a sort of chocolate almond cookie and ate it with double cream. i think i added too much cocoa powder cos tasted quite bitter. The cream helped alot
G&B *hugs* its understandable you arent 100% yourself right now. x0 -
Hello peeps :hello:
Tis a wet, wild & windy Wednesday here!! Sunny as well at the moment - bloomin mad weather!! Going out in a bit for some fresh air.
Had a blip on the old meal planning yesterday  Blaming DD1 as she announced at 3pm that she really, really had to go to Whitby to take photos of the Abbey for her Art project (that she got at the end of Term, 4 weeks ago!!) so off we went. It was going to be too late to make dinner by the time we got back so decided to have a chip butty from The Magpie takeaway instead
Anyway, back to the plan today!! Having last night's fajita chicken tonight. Bought some wholewheat tortillas so might have one (low-gi) or might just have the chicken with some broc & cauli & some sour cream, salsa, coleslaw & grated cheese piled on top!! Nomnomnom!! :rotfl:
Hope everyone doing ok today. No sign of mazzers & marrow has been a bit quiet lately??Thanks for the pep talk btw, yummy, tis great to hear the positives every now & then!!
