I am currently munching one of the muffins and they are yummy! Not remotely like a muffin though:p They are like little mini vanilla cheesecakes:dance:

They sound a nasty piece of work  Hope it hasn't jeopardised your budding romance, which is obviously what they want

    Morning all!! :)

Dont give up!!! even struggling while on this plan is better than giving up entirely. Before when i first ate low carb i was doing so well and then struggled with losing weight and this way of eating and quit. Bham!! Went up 5st!! ok this might not happen to you but you would or could put on all the weight you have lost. Its not worth it!!!! Just keep prodding along, eventually it will all come together. Have faith!
    :D

Okey Dokey skip! If prodding along is as much fun as it sounds, I'll give it a go! :rotfl::T

Jordy and all others, I find breakfast the easiest meal to low carb. I don't get much time so a boiled egg and some cheese often does the trick. Quick to prepare (boil eggs for week on sunday) and the monotony doesn't figure as I'm often reading a book waiting for work to start. Tastes great and to be honest it's just a habit I'm pleased not to waste much time on. It's only food.

At weekend I do some buttery and cheesy scrambled eggs with sardines too on occasion. Or bit of an omlette. Lidls yogurt does feature with broken pecans and or other nuts / seeds.

Never been bored of eggs as they're quite versatile. I eat brekkie but don't always register having done so :rotfl:

Mazzers - congrats to your 17yr old! You passed the brains on there then. :j

Just a catch up, am off to pack for sunny switzerland!

    Big love

Glad to hear that the cream cheese 'muffins' are a hit, haven't been out of the house today but will make sure that I make some tomorrow. The website does say that they're not really muffins and more like cheesecake. :j

Good LC day until evening meal but the Chinese food was lush - and I didn't have any rice or chips or wine or anything! :j

Not feeling too grand so think that the UTI is taking hold, roll on tomorrow when I get my results from docs.

Made a huge pile of chicken, mayo and sweetcorn with loads of black pepper (no salt) so that's my food for the weekend. Just need to top up the bacon supply and do the mass grill-off that Mercy told us about the other week.

    Now contemplating bed.
  • Tis Groundhog Day!! Otherwise known as 'up early again cos too hot & couldn't sleep' day!! Again!! Been awake since 2.30 am!! :( I am going to be such a bad-tempered moo if I don't catch up on my sleep sometime soon!! Ok, I'm always a bad-tempered moo, I'll just have an excuse this time!! :rotfl:

Out for a deeeelicious meal last night - had Chicken Anu - no, I'd never heard of it before either!! Chicken with a mushroom pate inside (can't remember the fancy name for it :o) with a bacon, onion, white wine & mushroom sauce. OMG it was diiiiiivine!! And low-carb!! Except for the chips, but they were diiiiiivine as well!! :rotfl:

Just had butter chicken, it is soo fab, and once you stir in the yogurt it looks exactly like tikka masala (but no additives icon14.gif ) tastes as good too, and only takes about 10 mins from scratch.

Mmmmmmmm, I could just eat that now!! Seriously, I'm starving!! :D

Oh and my 17 yr old son had five passes in his exams icon7.gif

Yaaay, well done mazzers' son!! :j

Ok, as usual I forgot something.

Without naming & shaming (noticed the post had gone but you know who you are, mazzers!!:shhh:) peeps can & do get constipated when doing low-carb, doesn't usually happen when you sneak in a bit of high-carb though, so, in other words, I think you are just weird!! :p:rotfl:
  • Ok, one more thing :o

I'm soooo excited cos yesterday I discovered that we have a wild plum tree out the front of us!! :j Lived here for 3 years & never noticed it before!! It's laden with ripe fruit (tried a couple yesterday & they are yummy although I don't know what variety they are) so I'm going to pick some more today!! This is as well as a wild greengage tree I spotted not far from us when I was out brambling the other day, although they're not ripe yet. I just love the idea of free food!! :j

    I'm a forager, me!! :rotfl:

And I'm obsessed with food!! :o

    Morning folks,

    Well done Mazzers son! Yay!!!!

Sweet - The meal sounds fab *drools*

I didn`t get to make the cauliflower crust pizza yesterday as my visitors stayed for quite a while, i shall make it later today instead, i shall be making plum jam later and i`m very envious of your wild plum tree sweet, i waited for some cheapies from the supermarket.

I made a cake yesterday, been meaning to make one for a while and the visitors gave me a good excuse, DH can take the rest to work later. I`ve been very good and not eaten a single crumb :D

I found some frikadillen in the supermarket yesterday so i had some of that for tea with some cheese and philly YUM!

Brekkie today will be sausage and buttery scrambled eggs
not had any fish for a while so may have a tin of mackerel for dinner and the cauli pizza for tea.

    Have a good day everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    morning everyone :)

am so tired!! cannot wait for today to be over and the weekend to start.

Have been eating low carb but still consuming way too many nuts. Have decided to just eat when i want them and once i run out of supplies dont buy them in for awhile. (every time i see them i want to buy them) but have resisted :D

Organised with the doctors surgery to have a smear and then decided to ask for bloods too. There is a (male) family trait for high trigylceride levels and I like to keep a check on them even though I'm female. And got a urine sample to take in as it's been cloudy for weeks. All in one go!!

Bloods are back and all within low > normal range! :j Yay -means that all this 'extra' fat intake, including coconut oil, hasn't had an adverse effect.

But, yes, got a UTI so need antibiotics - PLEASE don't confuse UTI with STI :rotfl: same area; different cause; different effect! I'm glad it's been diagnosed cos I've felt under the weather for a couple of weeks now and tried to shake it off.

Lunch is a huge bowl of lambs lettuce, spinach, watercress, rocket, chicken/mayo/sweetcorn, red peppers and half an avocado too. Tasty.
