Lol, courtesy of Tesco I'm afraid!! :o
    2 'ready-made' for £5.
Don't think it would be hard to reproduce your own version but they are handy to have in. :o

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think we come from the same mould sweet.

Ok...I know it's a bit late in the day to ask this.....but what exactly are S&V peanuts? Loads of you eat them but I dont think I've seen them. What's the S&V short for? Or is that just the name?

    Salt and vinegar!

    You calling me mouldy?! :rotfl:

S&V peanuts = Salt & Vinegar peanuts OMG they are lush but they do pucker your lips a bit if you eat too many!! :rotfl: Made by KP & I get them from Tesco. Really nice as a treat, much better than out of date peanuts I'm sure!!

That's an amazing loss since January, Aliasojo. You've done incredibly well! :T:T

    Hear hear:T :T well done.

I've got loads to lose too so will take quite a while:whistle:
Dont think it's realistic to go as low as i used to be tho, maybe ten- ten and a half instead.

Thought i'd better get up or i wont sleep tonight.
Am not a night owl :rotfl: (half woman, half mattress remember) i just had too much sleep after work yesterday.

IF going good as not really very hungry but am going to have a cooked brekkie cos i deserve it and my stomach is making noises.

Tesco have a an offer of two chicken breasts in creamy cheddar sauce topped with smoked bacon pieces and cheddar cheese half price at £1.74 and half a pack is 4.6g carbs so a handy standby.

Alias, i feel the same, i look so much better already and am definately going to get there this time.

Sorry for another post but i had to say that i used to be so frustrated as i wouldnt lose any weight on low cal/fat diet and i wasnt eating much (just the wrong things for me but i didnt know it at the time) and while everyone lost weight i would stay the same and used to say 'I wish somene could lock me in a room and feed me cos i aint cheating'. I thought i would never be able to lose weight.
All along it was blood sugar instablity and now i have found this thread and have learned so much, i am going to succeed..
So thanks guys for being there and for the great support (and sometimes funny, laugh out loud posts)

  • Now that is weird, before I sign in the time on the posts is still an hour behind?!
Good morning mazzers, well done for getting up 'early' after your late night!! I do like a snooze in but for the last couple of weeks I've been waking up somewhere between 5am - 6.30am & I'm wide awake even though I don't want to be!!
Saw those chicken boobs on offer in Tesco but I decided not to buy cos thought the carbs were quite high. The chick/mozz/bacon are only 0.4g for half a pack which means little old greedy me can have the full pack!! :rotfl:

Looks like I missed some fireworks in Sweden while I was away last week
However, much it is going to make low carbers seem extreme the fact is that eating a high carbohydrate low fat diet has not reduced the incidence of heart disease or cancer.

Dr Dahlqvist is absolutely correct in pointing out that those eating a higher saturated fat diet generally live longer therefore it follows it is logically correct to say those eating high carb, low fat diet, increase their risk of chronic illness or death.

It may not be a popular thing to say but the science supports it.

Well didn't quite make it to 6pm but considering what I ate yesterday and the fact I had nothing since about 3pm, then I've fasted for 24 hours anyway. I'm sure I'll get into a routine with it though.

I had chicken with cheesy leeks (at last, lol) and cauli mash for dinner. Dont know whether it's down to the leeks and cauli or the fasting but I'm absolutely stuffed. Thinking about going for a walk whilst the weather is not bad. :)

Hi Ted nice to see you back on here , Why is it so hard to explain this diet and why it works so well to other people ?

To be honest I don't think people want to understand either the
Cholesterol effects of carbohydrates or the problem of Wheat Belly.
While I never got quite that bad I was well on the way to looking exactly like that.

I was eating a healthy low fat diet, with only whole grain low glycemic index carbohydrates. When I went to an NHS Dietitian there was nothing, apart from more calorie restriction that she could suggest.

Thank goodness for Gary Taubes, Annika Dahlqvist and Jimmy Moore.
