So, i can have another meal later ( am full at the mo) and tomorrow will have a good brekkie and good Sunday lunch (had to get a shoulder of lamb as been fancying since last week) then nothing after six pm until six pm Monday. Fits in nicely with work as i only need to take a large bottle of water... easy-peasy
Hopefully..
Another interesting snippet was that cancer cells cant use ketones for energy and must turn to glucose to grow and reproduce which in the docs opinion is almost criminal to put cancer patients on a low fat high carb diet.0 -
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, had a good day today finding Atkins quite hard the second time but feeling better every day and not needing the snacks i craved the first couple of weeks and find myself getting full more quickly.
It is so nice to be able to chat about low carbing as my family tends to buy into the Weight watchers way of eating of which i did try for a short while but was always hungry!
One thing i do let myself down with is the water intake but have tried really hard today with that and took a bottle of water around the house with my whilst doing the housework so have done much better with that today.
Hope everyone else is ok0 -

The flippin' boys have both ordered a Dominos pizza and are offering me some.
Will stay in bed til it's scoffed... that'll be about five mins:rotfl:
Not exactly hungry, but feel 'hollow' so will go have some scrambled eggs and a cuppa.

Oo, I've got some complaining to do in the morning!
I live in a city very close to another city, and there's a constant train service between the two, pretty much every 5-10 minutes. Well today I arrived at the station to find loads were cancelled, and more were replaced by buses. By the time I figured out where the buses leave from, I watched one pull away. Then I went for a wander waiting for the next bus (40 minutes!) only to see a train arrive, leg it across the platforms in time to see it pull away. Eventually I hopped on a train.
Well, coming back I arrived at the station well ahead of time for the last train... only to be told it had been cancelled. There were crowds of people (at varying states of sobriety) all desperate to get home, and I ended up jumping in a cab with an older gent... considering we all had return train tickets, a cab fare home is £30!
Well, bless him, the gent insisted on paying the full £30 (because he would have had to anyway), so it worked out well for me... but jeez, what a mess. It's already a pain on Saturday nights that the trains stop running at midnight - that last train is usually packed to the rafters (literally worse than a peak tube train) with people who'd rather have stayed out later.
Sort it out, British Rail (or whoever you are now)!!!Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -
