It is flaming chucking it down here on south coast. My son has been here over the weekend and done lots of work in the garden for me. He has at last read Dr D's diet and approved it for use by mother.lol

    Yesterday's menu

    Day 44
B 2eggs, 2 bacon and 2 toms, all fried in coconut oil
L Herring, h/m slaw, mixed salad, feta with olives, gherkins in olive oil
D Lamb leg steaks, carrots, runner beans & green beans from the garden in butter. Strawberries and whipped cream (worth the effort even it did put my arm in spasm!)

Glad you had a good party mazzers, can't say I've worn heels for a while but I do remember the joy of taking them off.:cheesy:

Me neither, i have had so many problems with tender, sore feet, didnt know what it was, but i now think it was high BG causing probs with the nerves in my feet.
I have had to wear flat shoes for a long long time, and even they hurt the soles of my feet, but it has completely gone now
Must be cos my BG is controlled, also my ganglion has gone again, so it was fluid retention.

One main thing I learned in my very high heeled boot (4-6 inches) Goth days was always buy the size larger and use a good insole.

One time I'd got these amazing Newrock malicia boots, 4-5 inch heels thereabouts (scalpel toe, flames, laces, buckles, zip, shin pads, steel heels - everything!). Went out in them without insoles (I'd taken em out to use in another pair and forgot to put them back). The soles are very flat and hard and although I had a great time with lots of dancing I didn't feel it that evening.(probably numb:)) When I took them off all I knew was that my calves had shrunk so had to go about on tiptoe. Anyway went to bed.

Following morning I could NOT put my feet on the floor! The balls of my feet were so painful that just carpet and underlay wasn't enough :) Had to find squashy slippers just to limp around  What I did discover was that ibuprofen gel really DOES work :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have to add, the heels don't look that high, factor in the fact my toes stopped a good 2 inches before the end of the boot :) They're quite decptive to all but your feet :)

PS, I had many a good night out in them and managed to get them down to <£10 per wear!

Your 'swaying' has probably put you in line for water retention :) Will, in my experience, take about 3 days to sort that. And, I find, carb damage also takes about the same amount of time to show :( Just carry on as normal. You may find that starting to hold off nuts will make you think any settling out of you're bad behaviour is down to them. Take a week and be moderate in all things so you have a good basis to assess what leaving nuts alone does for you, when you start that 1 week from now.

As a R&D Chemist, the first thing you learn is that changing several things at once means that you don't know what has produced the result. You may well be intolerant to nuts. They do affect a lot of lc peeps that way. But you must start from a basis of a week's good lcing before you really know.

    Thought for the day :rotfl:

A few weeks ago I posted images of my 'Goth Garden' :)

Here's an update. The triffid has gone and all its' leaves. Hope it comes back next year :)

    garden2.jpg

With a lovely Goth Geranium in a pot

    geranium.jpg

and a lovely rose from my eventual 'rose waterfall'

    rose.jpg

The rose 'waterfall' has been under construction for 7 years now :) it was doing great till the rain made it pointless again  However, there are a lot of buds so a good blast of sunshine may give me something to show you on that front :)

    Hope you like these.

The money saving point to all this is that buying small, cheap plants and putting them together over the years, can give a great impact :) Also, time spent working up to this means time spent not in shops :) Add to that the great soul salving nature of nature and we're all on a winner!

Mercy, your garden looks a veritable wilderness of lovliness, the cats must love it :T

When my feet were bad, i tried lots of 'soft n comfy' shoes, gel insoles, foam insoles etc, but they were still so tender.
Dont need any of it now, they are fine and dandy

    Wahey at the boots ;):D

Had a lovely chicken dinner, but also had a mini magnum type lolly.

Having a cuppa and a couple of relaxing hours on my lappy now. icon7.gif

Mercy - got some of the Lilylolo stuff and love it, thanks or the top tip. Even my friends commented on how well I looked last night (before the booze cruise!) so that's great.

So glad you like it! I find it a complete boon :)

I've only ever bought the sample sizes but disguise my main purchases with trying out other stuff :rotfl: Means I have a good range of make up to see me through.

Tis most wonderful stuff. Does wonders for me :) and I'm not on commission :rotfl:

Love the lilylolo site but where do I click for samples? Never having tried a mineral cosmetic before I feel the sample would be the way to go for me.
