I've been in Londond for a few days and the afternoon tea at The Dorchester..woooo was not conducive to my WOE, it was a treat for my daughter nd she loved it, but in all honesty I did not want the cakes or pastries. Apart from that I had a pretty good ffew days opting for the salad options when we ate anywhere.

I'm hoping to go to Latitude festival tomorrow (if I can find anyone else going) but I'll do my best to eat low GI there. I'm now officially under 18st, but it's taken a long time to get there.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

if i didnt gain after my binge i would be so so happy :D

which plan are you following right now?

im ok if i have one bad day and then good for the rest of the week but if i have two bad days in a row then i end up giving up completely and find that the idea of dieting impossible :(. must be good!!

I'm trying to be as lc as i can, but sometimes go up to 50g carbs, which is ok, but weight loss is really slow then.

I've had lots of bad days tho, but this morning my weight was about the same as its been for a while.
I've remained the same for about 3-4 weeks now tho.

I need to be a lot stricter to actually lose.

I just cant be bothered to cook for myself anymore icon9.gif

I need to be eating more veg and salads again, i had steady loss when my carbs were at about 30g -35g even with treats like sf jelly and berries and the odd bit of 85% choc.
I must get my a*se into gear

Thought i should add that although my weight stays the same after a binge, my belly protrudes and i feel bloated, and i get wind :o

I can tell you all 1 thing. It doesn't matter how low carb, nice to people and generally good you are when it comes to installing a new printer which doesn't have the cable included and doesn't fit normal printer to computer cables.

Well p'd off and generally grumpy.

Have eaten well, been nice to Guy1, got a lot done today including total clean sweep of whole computer area. Does this count does it bu**ery!

When it comes to the hardware it's a total non kharmic state.

    Rant over for now.

Managed to only eat a tiny bit of the Chinese takeaway bought for me tonight, and even then just meat and veg. Didn't want to break the LC thing, and didn't feel any urge to.

My face got all sore again today (before evening meal) and I reckon it's strawberries, perhaps the sugar in them? Will have to just eat the cream alone? :j

Is the best method to do LC AND high fat, or just LC alone?

And I'm now a little worried that the high calorific value of coconut oil is a counter-action to the LC? Perhaps just a little blip in my confidence levels, however I still can't believe that I feel absolutely no craving/desire for carbs. :j

Low carb has to be high fat. Simple as. Your body needs something to get energy from. If you're not eating carbs then you need to eat fat. Otherwise you will cannibalise your muscle for energy.

Using coconut oil is a way to put your body into ketosis. This involves becoming a fat burner rather than a carb/sugar burner.

Will come up with some good links in a min - need the loo.

Trust me, coconut oil int doing you harm.

Here's a few notes to help you out.

Also Dr Dahlqvist (link on page one) recommends increasing fat rather than just protein when giving up the carbs.

Notice I've quoted Ted? He's the guru and hopefully he'll be back soon :)

Calorific value shmelorfic value! Calories are a myth. The body doesn't deal with every thing the same way. Nutritionists rely on the Government and they're a bit slow to produce data which will put their previous edicts in a bad light.

Wish Ted was ere, he'd have all the links to hand :)

Try googling Gary taubes, Dr Briffa, and any others fellow low carbers can come up with.

Relax though. You doin good, girl!
