  • Another thing, bought some mini gouda cheeses for 99p in Netto, think there was 6 in the pack (DD1 has already got to them ) Just sampled one (hope I don't have nightmares tonight) & is quite nice if you fancy a change from babybels, as they seem to be really expensive these days!!

Also bought some Brothers Pear Cider to try as I really fancy trying it, but forgot I had it & tis too late (for me) to open it now  Bloomin' craving it as well. I'll just have to go to bed thirsty. :(

    Goodnight peeps

Thankyou all for your replies and I will certainly try the crispy cheese things but maybe not the choccy as I'm afraid it will trigger my sweet tooth.

Glad you got a result at work Mercy - right does triumph sometimes and it's a bonus that the boss showed that you matter to the team. (I'm afraid my cynical head says that he probably is well aware that you have been carrying Guy 1 for some time now and was scared of the consequences if he didn't sort it out !)

    Yesterday's menu was
    Day35
    B Yog & seeds
L Mix meats, salad, h/m 'slaw
D Leftovers of meat and salad
    S Cheese

My brother and his wife were here for lunch so I made potato salad in a vinegar sauce. He loves his potatoes and did me the 'favour' of eating the whole bowlful so that I wouldn't be tempted later .lol

Sun is out down on the south coast and two loads of washing are on the line, will now walk the dog as I have dr's appointment at 11 to get my bg results. Wish me luck and hope you all have a lovely Friday.

Focus - well done that's ab fab.

Mazzers - when I was a kid my friend's german mother used to make a fab potato salad where the squares of potato were just in vinegar with onion and spices. Never been able to find a recipe so I make the nearest ,which is warm potatoes in a 1 cup cyder vinegar:1/2 cup oil sauce with either sliced spring onions, finely diced red onion or chopped gherkins. The warm potatoes soak up the flavours ( also add mustard to the sauce) and then serve when cold. Just makes a change from my usual one which is 50;50 mayo and yog.

Had my bg result and RESULT my sugars were down from 7.8 to 6.9 and cholesterol from 6.4 to 4.3. I am so pleased, told the gp that I had not had anything sweet for 5 weeks and he was pleased at that. Didn't tell him about lcing or that I have reduced my Metformin from 2 twice a day to 1 three times a day. I have to have another test in a month because of liver enzymes but not bothered about that, I am just soooo over the moon at having reduced the bg and cholesterol.

This woe is definitely mine for life now............:j
