focus - There doesn't seem to be anything hazardous in that recipe. Check out the labels on the choc, there may be low carb cooking choc out there if it's dark. I think 80% would work well as we eat 75%+ as a craving settler.

Sounds nice but I'm not in a sweet eating mode at all these days. When visiting mates in Wolves recently I bought a tub of brownies, having decided I was on holiday :) Tried one and really didn't like the sweet claggyness of it at all! Funny how your tastes change.

If you want biscuits try the ones on the recipe list. I modified some with cocoa and they were nice. Also coconut oil melded in as part of the fat makes em snap nicely :)

The sesame crackers are good too.

Seems the only problem with these biscs is that they are moreish as are all biscuits :rotfl: alias probably has a point there :D

I use ground almonds from the supermarket. It's a bit dryer and looks like chunky flour.

Have you tried the Bakewell Tart? That is the thing I really turn to when CAKE NEED makes itself felt. Works everytime (if you like Bakewell Tart :)) Also 'mockolate danish' isn't really like a danish but is nice, quick chocolate cake fix.

It was the ability to still have good sweets that kept me on track at the beginning. Now I can take or leave more or less. Tis a good thing to know it's possible if your tempted by the sweet stuff.

Mercy thanks for the The Facecloth, mistakenly thanked mazzers, it lifted a dark morning, ta.

I am fighting the craving for sweet or crispy stuff at the mo - would this be b ecause of that chocolate eclair and piece of white baguette? Keep trying to find things to do with my hands, have had to put pyjamas on so that I don't drive to get something wicked.

The saying ' If you can't eat it - don't buy it' is written on the fridge and thank goodness that there is nothing in the house or I'd blow the diet totally.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, will now go and have a finger of cheese and do some breathing exercises. lol

Well, finally, things have changed for the better at work :D

Was accosted by my top boss asking me about falling out with Guy1 the other day, wasn't expecting that at all. Seems people/blokes have been dissing me somewhat  Blokes are much more gossipy than women :rotfl: Was able to show that It wasn't me being picky but that Guy1 needed looking at for all his stupid mistakes. Anyhoo, Boss man saw my point and things have settled down. Don't know if a 'word' has been had or if Guy1 just gave up his obstinacy in view of my righteousness :rotfl:

Who cares? Things have settled down and we are now working as a team (mostly). Saw an improvement yesterday but today has been almost normal. It would appear that a good grip on your 'give a f**kometer' works wonders :rotfl:

    Yay!:j

Can get on with things that need doing. Funnily enough kinda lost the impetus:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Love you all! Thanks for listening to my rambles

I've had a pretty busy couple of days, tonight is my daughters prom. After going to the beautician this afternoon we stopped at Taybarns, and I was good to start off with. Just ate meat and salad, but I couldn't resist the cake, I had a bit of carrot cake, and it was nice, but very sweet, I won't eat anything else tonight though, i still feel full.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

I don't think wanting crispy is necessarily connected with carbs, but it's possible. Have you tried grating parmesan (not the powdered stuff), mixing with herbs and cooking in little heaps? Don't use any cooking paper, just on baking sheet. Tis strong flavoured and crunchy. I like em.

Also, the sesame crackers have a certain crunch and are lovely with (full fat) cream cheese.

so far serena when i want sweet stuff i mix abit of cream with a tsp of slenda with some cocoa and freeze for half a hour, turns into a choco ice cream sort of dessert :)

and crispy if you like cheese i always grate some fresh cheese and microwave for about 2 mins on a plate. goes dark brown and when cools down is soo crispy its like im eating cheese crisp. love them :)

sweets, do you eat your tuna plain with salad? i like fish but cant stand the taste of tuna that much unless its smothered in mayo with sweetcorn. Find it taste way too fishy for me, it has a strong smell about it. :o

I love tuna & can eat it plain or smothered in mayo, I don't mind :D I actually like it with mayo, chopped red pepper and chopped onion or spring onion (scally onions). Wrap it in salad leaves or I can have it stuffed in low-gi pitta. I find tuna in oil less fishy than when it's in brine or springwater so maybe try a different one??

Managed to get one measly tin of tuna in olive oil in Netto today  And it was in a random place, no sticker on shelf or anything, just happened to spot it!!

Did manage to get lots of lager & wine that was on offer though :D
