I tried the atkins bars the frist time i did lc, were quite nice but wasnt impressed as they are so expensive.
Think i'd prefer a bit of 80% choc myself.
I bought a whole box of simpkins lollies ( the kind you see in chemists) good value but a lot to outlay.
I have the odd one now and again.
The giant pear drops are lush.
Dont know if they stall me though as i havent lost in a while cos i cant seem to stay on track for long.0 -

Oh and everyone loved the cake
Peebles is about 15 miles down the road from me. It's a lovely place...well situated for walking, biking etc. You can also go into Edinburgh for the day. The Festival starts around the 8th of August.
Old...like the rest of us :rotfl::rotfl:I think 2 of them live in my town
ETA - Edinburgh might be a good place for a meet *grins* Although I visit Liverpool quite often, so would be happy to travel...that is, if I'm invited
Course you are.
Dont know if it'll ever happen though.
Glad you had a nice time.0 -

I'll give you a wave if we end up going there!! Won't be going at festival time, probably last week/end of this month but would love to visit Edinburgh, only ever driven through  Hubby is suggesting Peebles Hydro so if you have/know of any good/bad experiences please shout up
Old...like the rest of us :rotfl::rotfl:
You speak for yourself, Mrs!!:rotfl:
And my son is driving me nuts so i need it to de-stress
Aww, was going to ask how you were getting on with him being there, enjoy your voddies0 -
This morning I found my navel without sending in search and rescue dogs! Rolls are flattening and my midline fat is half the size.
After yearrs and years of struggling with low fat low everthing and tasteless food this is total revelation and an immense joy. Not missing the bread and pasta and stuff (yet) and enjoying the feeling of being full and not wanting carbs!

Gers, that is great, well done to you!! :T
Good morning all :hello:
Had a phone call last night & Scottish family are coming to visit on Friday!! Eek!! Disappointed that I haven't lost a lot of weight since I last saw them but it will be lovely to have them stay.
So, I'm gonna be busy, busy for the next few days!! Why oh why didn't I keep up with the flylady housework?! House is a tip & I still haven't decorated the front room after it was plastered months ago!!Will be in panic mode until they get here & then apologetic mode when they arrive!! "Excuse the mess", "can't believe we still haven't decorated" etc etc!! :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good day, will pop in as & when I have time/collapse with exhaustion!! :wave:0 -

Gers, really pleased for you, if you get a bit fed up in a few weeks, just think of the feeling of seeing your belly button again.
I wish the health services would re-assess their thoughts on lc, it could benefit so many people who are unable to lose weight.
A friend of mine has just been put on insulin  as she cant control her eating habits, and is gaining more and more weight.
She's a bit slow (and i mean that in a nice way) and i cant get through to her, she really needs to hear it from a health professional.0 -
Well despite my order from I-herb being £18.19 (ie 19p over the limit - and Royal Mail saying they don't bother collecting fees under £7) I've been charged £10.81 for my two lots of Vit D.
Never mind eh still cheaper than you can get it over here....0
