Mazzers Thanks so much for the The Facecloth it made me laugh out loud and giggle for so long it frightened the dog!:rotfl:

Hey the day got better, I managed to get a smiley where I wanted it.

Bad start to day - weigh in and was dreading it 'co of Tuesday's carb lunch. Yes the whole 3lb I'd lost is back there:eek: Was very disheartened but got the tapemeasure and the 1 1/2" lost off of my waist is still off, so am much cheered and then the facecloth gave me the giggles.

    Yesterday's eating was :

    Day 34

    B Yog, strawbs, seeds
L Veg curry & meat chilli
D Sliced polish sausage, h/m slaw, tomatoe
    S salami

I promise to be good today and try to cut down on my portions. If I still take the coconut oil will that be enough for weightloss do you think? I walk with a stick so exercise is not really feasible. Any suggestions gratefully received.

I had my bloods taken on Tuesday so hopefully the bg will be a good result when I see Dr on Friday. Next week I have the NHS dietician but I'm not sure if I should tell her that I am now lcing or just let her tell me how I should be on the low - fat wao. What would you do?

Morning serena, it was mercy that gave you the giggles over the facecloth :rotfl:

As for exercise, i dont think its really necessary for weight loss on lc.

I wouldnt tell the dietician about lc, they just wont understand.

I told my nurse that i've lost weight by cutting out bread and poatoes and sugar and was eating lots of salad and veg including spinach, and she was well impressed, (i guessed spinach would be a magic word :D) didnt mention the double cream, butter, bacon, fried eggs and coconut oil though ;)

sorry you put the 3lbs back on serena but im sure with your determination it will soon be back off. and well done about the inches :)

am so tired today!! keep going ott on the nuts and i hate myself for it. I need more self control. might just not buy them for awhile but i love having snacks that i could have in the house :D
  • Morning everyone :hello:

Thanks for the tip about the 30 minute housework challenge, skint, will be having a go later as all I've done is shop since I found out our visitors are coming!!

Serena, that 3lbs will be back off in no time, it's just water, please don't worry & certainly don't get disheartened, your inch loss is your proof that you've lost 'weight'.

focus, can you snack on something like babybels instead of nuts??

mazzers, that salmon in tarragon butter sounds lovely, did you buy it already frozen or freeze it after you had bought it??

Am just back from Asda, they had a pack of 3 John West tuna chunks in springwater for £1.50, so even better than the Netto offer. It's ridiculous really, because tuna was always only about 50p a tin not that long ago, & now I think it's a bargain to get it that 'cheap'!!

Right, I'm going to have a 30 minute housework blitz, followed by low-gi beans on toasted burgen for lunch & then I'm off to Netto to buy some wine & beer for the weekend.

Hope everyone doing ok, tis quiet on here the last couple of days, and it's not just cos I'm not posting as much!! :p:rotfl::wave:

I just love nuts so much its hard to control myself around them :rotfl:anyway when my supplies are gone will really try and not buy them in so that they arent tempting me always.

was so lazy last night didnt prepare a single thing for today so all i have in my draw at work are some pepperamis, only ate one so far and going to grab a subway salad for lunch ;) then nandos for dinner tonight! woo!!

cant wait until its friday :D im like this everyday unless its weekend.

sweets, do you eat your tuna plain with salad? i like fish but cant stand the taste of tuna that much unless its smothered in mayo with sweetcorn. Find it taste way too fishy for me, it has a strong smell about it. :o

Sweet, the salmon comes ready frozen, is huge and is in its own roasting tin, (foil) and i've only seen it on special occasions like xmas or easter.
Its about £6 but really is delicious, got lemon and tarragon butter on it, i think its tarragon anyway, i threw the wrapping away ages ago.

I will be having another drink tonight as i am still on holiday ;);)

    Wednesday:
B - strawberries with homemade yogurt
L - coleslaw (had a late breakfast so wasn't really hungry)
D - my attempt at a lowish carb cream pie, which wasn't very good
No exercise and not enough fluids again. I think lack of drinking might be why I've been so sleepy this week.

i just posted in the wrong low carb thread by mistake :( opps

anyway i just wanted to ask this :)

i would really like to make this chocolate almond recipe

    CHOCOLATE ALMOND BAR
    1/2 ounce unsweetened chocolate
    2 tablespoons butter
1 ounce almonds, finely ground *
    1 teaspoon cream, optional
    4 teaspoons granular Splenda
    2 ounces almonds, finely chopped
    1/8 teaspoon vanilla
    1/8 teaspoon almond extract
Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave on MEDIUM power. Blend well. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Spread to about a 1/4-inch thick rectangle on a foil-lined pan. Freeze 2 hours or more. Remove from the foil and cut into 40-48 tiny pieces. Keep and eat frozen.
    Makes 40-48 pieces
    Can be frozen
*I ground them, almost like peanut butter, in a mini food processor with a few drops of oil. Per 2 pieces: 33 Calories; 3g Fat; 1g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carbs

but i havent brought any legal low carb chocolate since ive started on this diet. So can anyone reccommend a good brand of chocolate that is unsweetened or are all dark 80% chocolate unsweetened. Im not a dark choc fan but if its chocolate subsitute will give it a go ;)
