    I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi all again,

Yes it is Elise not Elsie LOL - They keep calling me Elsie at work cos they kjnow it drives me mental:rotfl:

I do ok as long as I have some fruit every now and again - just about 7 strawbs and clotted cream tho, once a week and it keeps my sweet tooth under control. Actually it's ususally more like clotted cream with a sprinkle of strawbs:p

I can only cook with the coconut oil as it makes me heave if I try and have it neat or in a drink, so I tend to cook my bacon and mushrooms in it.

Had a lovely steak and veggie stirfry tonight with a dash of soy and hoisin. Not too bothered about lack of potatoes - it's bread and varieties that are my downfall! Toast every day for breakfast etc :(

awwww thanks mercy :kisses3:and everyone else

im just gonna ignore all the negative comments, let my body show them they are all wrong when they see me get down to my goal :D the other day i was having a email debate with some work colleagues about low carb/atkins dieting, they were attacking me with links about it causing heart problems and just argued back with my articles which say low carb is the best way for weight loss and there was even proof that it has no links to heart problems. kept them quiet

appletart try this thread entitled Coconut Oil is great. Should lead you to others but if you have any trouble then click on a Ted Hutchinson post, see his other posts and there you go....

Mazzers, no you do not want chips. 15lb and a drop in BG is a good enough result for anybody so stop putting yourself down. The past is gone and over - we cannot change it , tomorrow we know nothing of, therefore we should all live in the present moment as this is the only thing we have the power to change. (Oh you got me - yes, I am an old hippy.lol) What I'm trying to say is look at your positive points and what you have achieved. Do not give in to the bad carbs.:D

We are not 'old hippys' we are simply rather 'bohemian' :D

I didnt cave to the chips, i found some finest burgers lurking in the freezer and had one of those.
My problem is that i just cant be @rsed to make accompanyments <<( is this a real word?) to go with food, cos its just for me, so i dont bother, so then i'm only having half a meal icon9.gif

    Welcome back marrow. :)

Lovely morning - had my coconut oil and then 2 hardboiled eggs with little tomatoes and some mayo and now feel fully stuffed!

It's still a very peculiar feeling, this not wanting sweet things or carbs  and I'm not convinced that I won't tip over the edge of carb lust at some point soon, but it's fascinating meanwhile.

I've realised that I used to eat in the evenings through boredom and the quick fix solution was to scour the kitchen for something to 'do' - doesn't make sense when I see it written down.

Hey, ho... down the fat ladder I go!!

    *waves*

Hi Marrow....nice to see you back. *waves again* :)

I had a wee 'feeling' last night. Someone on another thread was saying they couldn't lose weight. They'd been to see their Doc and nothing was wrong, no thyroid probs or anything else to cause a problem, but that no matter how strict they were, they just couldn't drop the pounds and that there was no way she could lose the extra stone she'd recently aquired, in 6 weeks. (4lbs in 9 months was mentioned.) Now I'm not saying anything about that girl's situation, we're all made differently and perhaps her body genuinely does have reasons why she cant lose, who knows.......but, reading her posts struck a wee chord with me and made me recognise how many excuses I make when it comes to my eating habits. (I'm not for one minute suggesting she is making excuses, I genuinely don't know about her, but her posts reminded me of me when I'm being...... less than proactive shall we say. :D I felt a wee bit embarrassed and a whole lot pathetic.

Sooooooo, I'm back. I may moan. In fact I probably will. The first 3 days are not nice but I will try. Wish me luck.

    good morning everyone :)

official weigh in day for me and i have kept off the weight i had lost the other day and an extra 0.5lbs. not trying to rub it in anyones face but am so happy about it. And believe me i probably have alot more weight to lose than others :(

anyway welcome back to icing alias, ive been through stages where i know i should be doing this plan but for one reason or another i struggle and cant get my head around it. but once you do get it and everything clicks it will just work. thats what ive found anyway. :D glad you are back.

woke up way too early today, wanted to have a lie in until at least 10-11 but woke up about 8 :( and when i wake up early i get hungry earlier and end up eating loads more throughout the day. not good one bit! o well will try to keep active awhile longer. :)

Morning all, lovely and sunny here in Sussex, washing will be out on the line in a mo. Today I am no longer and old hippy - for the rest of my life I am ...........A Bohemian (thanks mazzers)

Gers - love the idea of going down the fat ladder

Alias - that is very perceptive of you and should help to keep you on course. Maybe some alternative 'to do' in the evening? clear out a cupboard, read an article.

Mazzers - I too live alone, apart fromthe dog, and know too well the trap of cooking/eating half a meal. What I found works for me is to buy veggies and then cook four portions of each, refrigerate and I have that other half ready to zap in microwave. This way I actually get more healthy veg than if I was cooking for the family.

I have ordered the Vit D test and bought Vit D tablets, now what is the strength of the fish oil that I should be taking? I bottled out on the 5000 of Vit D and just ordered the 2000 as I'm frightened of taking too much.

Do be kind to yourselves today and if it's sunny where you are then try to get out and enjoy.....

Gers, i was very good lc wise a few weeks ago, i didnt want anything carby, and never got hungry, and had i kept fixed on my goal i wouldve lost more by now, but all it takes is a meal out with the girls and i find it so hard to get back on track.

So keep focussed, dont sway and you'll be ok. :T

Me again, sorry to go on but, gotta say that when i have carbs, i spend almost all day thinking about food, cos i'm always 'peckish', and when i'm bored i constantly stuff my face, and even when i'm reading or on my lappy (when i'm not bored)
    It's those darn carbs.

But when i'm icing, i never think about food until i get really hungry, even when bored i dont eat, just not interested.

I now think about something i read on here, which is, 'i like being slim more than i like eating carbs'.

Anyway, i'm back to icing and just need to keep the carbs low, otherwise i get cravings (chips yesterday)
