Argh, i had such a bad craving for beans on toast this morning! I managed to resist though. Threw the beans in the bin so i wont be tempted again later.
Just had bacon and a fried egg, need to vary my breakfast a bit, getting stuck in a rut now.
On the upside its obviously working, only one more lb and i'll have lost half a stone.

    Hello all,

Thanks for all the chili/beans info. I'm not sure I should tackle that cake though, I would probably eat it all in one go! I'm ok at the self control bit if i'm eating food I'm not bothered about but as soon as it is something scrummy....caaaaaaake....I just keep going back to it til its all gone.

I'm in a bit of a mood today, no particular reason, so I'm going to stomp around the house til I feel more human.

  • Good morning everyone :hello:

Just starting raining here, it knows we are having a bbq tonight

So, dinner tonight will be burgers, sausages & steak that was woopsied in Tesco yesterday :D

Will be drinking Pimms for a change (£10 for 1L in Mr. T) so looking forward to that ;) Going to make a jug full just for me!! :j

Feeling extremely hormonally challenged today  Think TOTM is imminent even though it's too early so there may be tears before bedtime as I always get a bit weepy at that time.

Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely weekend

Oh, and Suzy G, Stevia is a very intense but natural type of sweetener they have in America. I don't think you can get it here in the shops but you can get it on internet. You can use Splenda intead (vary the amounts to taste) but I think Stevia is better for you. I think Splenda and all have bulking agents because the actual sweetener is stronger than sugar so to make it more sugar like in density.
I think some-one on here uses Stevia. (i think it has a licorice taste?)

Stevia is better, it has no carbs or calories at all, it is supposed to have many health benefits, but it's expensive. This was the cheapest place I found for it, but not everyone likes it, 1 TSP stevia liquid is equal to 1 CUP sugar, so although expensive it lasts a long time, if you use to much it can taste bitter. Reading about receipes it seems to be better to mix a couple of sweeteners, so now I usually use half the amount of stevia and a bit of erythritol, using them together gives you a greater affect so 1/4 stevia and 1/4 erythritol would give you the total for sweetness.
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

I have had stevia in the cupboard for a year but dont use it as i dont think its as sweet as they say, so i kept adding and it was awful then, i think jordys idea is a good one, use two different types.

I think its illegal or something in Britain, but there is a loophole that it can be sold as a health food, so thats how i managed to track some down.

Is terrible weather here, all you peeps up north are still enjoying a summer day.. alledgedly :p

  • hi guys.
sorry i dissapeared for a bit, i've had an awful tummy bug. On the upside though its caused me to lose a bit more weight. Still not 100% but i'm feeling much better. I've been quite naughty on the low carb front though as i've been too ill to go shopping. :(
Nevermind i'll get back to it in a day or 2 when i feel well enough to get out and about.
I came across this good website today, http://www.lowcarbiseasy.com/weight_loss_tips.htm which has loads of low carb tips, and for those of you doing joint low GI and low carb, it has some info on that.

Off the subject a bit though, my partners taking me away next weds and thursday night for a break. my mum and sister are watching the kids. He's been a bit of an idiot with me the past few months and is trying to make amends before i show him the door.lol
We aren't wanting to go too far away as i'd rather stay near the kids in case anything happens, but i have no idea at all where to go!!! do any of you guys know somewhere nice? just on the offchance.
hope everyones having a nice day.xx
