I've just enjoyed a small plate of strawberries with a large dollop of cream - my intellect can fully understand the science behind the LC theory but my 'heart' is still ingrained with 'bad fat' science. Didn't stop me eating the large dollop of cream though...

Hello folks, my spirits have been lifted, i have a booked a girlie holiday to Benalmadena on the costa del sol in September.

I intend to enjoy myself from here on in ;)
I've done me bit, been a mum since i was 16 and want to do a bit of travelling before the grim reaper comes a-calling :D

I have been for my blood test and hope to prove that my bg is under control.
    Cant wait for the results.

Trouble is, twas a fasting test, and by the time i saw the doc and the nurse and got home i was starving, so went out for a cooked breakfast and although i said no toast or hash brown, they came, i ate :o
Had two ice creams then, and a muffin with butter and i might have another ice cream cos it was lush and i will be on the straight and narrow tomorrow.
(phew, i said that all in one breath)

Thanks for the links Ted but when I clicked on them I got the same page for each. Had a look round but it still was only the how to eat LCHF way.

Well day 20 is good so far - B yoghurt and linseeds, L cream cheese, D gammon and fried greens.

Have been to stock up with yog at Lidl and also went to Asda, found that they had lots of woopsied meat packs so the freezer is once again full. I keep meaning to run it down to defrost it but I'm just a gal that can't pass a bargain so it'll have to wait yet again.

Was looking forward to tomorrow as I had blood tests booked for 10 am but the surgery rang today and had to change it to 7th July as their phlebotomist (sp?) was off sick. As I'm type 2 diabetic and taking metformin I really want to see how my sugars are after 3 weeks of lcing and will have to wait another week.

    D'ya know, i was a phlebotomist for a fortnight :o
Always wanted to do it, finally got the chance and found it monotonous, so i packed it in.
Kinda wish i'd stuck it out now

Im curious how you make your soup?

I would do pretty much what marrow does, but add a blob of creme fraiche just before you [STRIKE]scoff your face[/STRIKE] eat it, it is absolutely lush!!

    Hello!

Been catching up again, life and poor internet have conspired against me. Just checked emails and there were 357! Took some time clearing that up :rotfl:

G&B - fudge, yes its the bagged wet mozzerella and I slice it up at a few mm thick then arrange it around the base and a little up the side of the dish. If it's a bit thin in places, add a bit more to patch it :)

I'm off to near the 'swine flu capital' at the weekend :) May be safe in Wolves :rotfl: May not! Have tomorrow aft off so will look properly for a nice top that doesn't show my unfeasible gut. :o

Have to say, sticking to 80 sit-ups (4 diff types) twice a day, for last 10 days, I can hold my tumkin in much better :) Will up it to 100 from now on :rotfl:

Hope you are all well n happy!

    Love MXXXXXXXX

I'm finding that I am having much fewer calories than I thought I was (around 1500).
I'm sticking to lcing and not losing any weight.
I eat lots of salad and veg.
I drink 2L of water at work and more later.
    I am seldom hungry.

    What's going on there then?

    re: little holiday this weekend

My friends are veggie high carbers. With the best will in the world, they just don't get it :) Although they DO try, SO hard, bless em!

I have said that this time they shouldn't worry about feeding me as I will bring my own food :)

The bus station at Wolves is next to a supermarket so will stock up when I get there.

See I'm taking the WOE seriously. Just wish it'd aknowledge my efforts by shrinking me :rotfl:

Heyho! will be a great weekend, not seen H for months so could burn up lots of energy simply by catching up :rotfl:

    Can't wait!

Same as me mercy, i've been having nearly 3l of fluids and low cal lowish carb and not lost for ages.

Btw, at the docs, i jumped on his scales and was 13 and a half stone, half a stone less than what i am on mine :j

Also, just had another two ice creams :o making four altogether, big feasty type things too :o

Obviously, my BG is yo yo ing and i cant stop, my son even said 'no mum, no more' and i went ratty on him, and made him get me one more. See, addicted..

Thought i'd just add that i hardly ever eat ice cream, not a lover of the stuff
