Hope you have a great time at Glasto, I didn't buy a ticket this year but my OH and 2 kids are going, I'm gutted to be missing it now, trying at the last minute to see if I can get any work on a stall or anything, but no luck. There are some tickets on ebay, but that's a huge gamble! There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0

Hello! I have been ill and not here, and I have hundreds of pages to catch up on. You people talk so much!
But first: spicy meatballs in tomato sauce, absolutely gorgeous.
Serves 2
Meatballs:
300g minced pork
1 onion, grated
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp paprika
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 egg
s&p
Sauce:
evoo
2 cloves garlic, crushed
0.5 tsp dried chillies
150ml dry white wine
300ml passata
1 bayleaf
2 tsp tomato puree
2 tsp chopped fresh coriander
Combine the meatball ingredients in a bowl and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes
Saute the garlic and chillies in olive oil for a minute, then add the wine and reduce till nearly all gone, add the passata, bayleaf and tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes. Form the meat mixture into walnut sized balls and drop into the sauce, simmer half uncovered for 15-20 minutes or until the meat is cooked. Serve garnished with the coriander.0 -

If you have a problem with fishy burps then put the capsules in the freezer and swallow them frozen, by the time they defrost they will be past the burp point.
Thanks for the top tip! One to do.
Thankfully I'm female and my levels are OK. Since my only brother died (very unexpectedly) the age of 56 I've been checked at least once a year and am clear - neither do I have diabetes yet so the low carb thingy is to save my body, soul and life!
I'm currently taking 1 x 1000mg capsule but will check in the morning about the actual breakdown.
Been really unusually busy all weekend and yet managed to not eat any carbs, that's made me feel extremely chuffed with myself. The temptation appears to have gone because I'm not feeling empty all the time, it's been such a long time since I actually felt 'full'. I used to eat loads and loads and yet could always find a corner for more... I'm loving this feeling. Hope it lasts!
My feet have lost weight at least. :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Morning all
Reporting in another 1.5 lb loss. Happy Monday everyone xx0 -
i always crave baked beans too
Thanks for that idea, had beans on toasted Burgen for my lunchTis low-GI.
That would be nice, it was a normal clothes shop, but the clothes went up to a 20. I was dead chuffed though, was size 26 when I started this.
Sorry, jordy, I wasn't quite with it when I posted about size 16 being 'normal' & didn't realise focus was replying to youAnyway, you have done great, you have every right to be dead chuffed!!

Btw, sorry to hear you had been ill, hope you feeling better now, thank you for the recipe, it sounds yummy!!
Good morning all :hello:
Still feeling a bit rough this morningbut all my own doing so I'm not looking for sympathy!!
Only managed 16 minutes on the wii fit this morning, just didn't feel strong enough to do it. Told me I'd put a lb on  BUT my bathroom scales told me I'd lost 8lbs from last week!! That actually ties in with the wii because I was losing 1 or 2 lbs every day according to that, apart from today. Twas the first week so I always lose quickly & then it slows right down so not expecting anywhere near that this week!!
So, how is everyone doing?? It was very quiet on this thread over the weekend so I'm presuming you were all doing exciting things instead?!
I'm going shopping today (under budget last week, yaay!!) but only have £13 left in my account until payday on Thursday!! _pale_ Going to have to be [STRIKE]a cheapskate[/STRIKE] clever with what I buy methinks!!
Anyway, hope everyone has a lovely day & I'll see you all later :wave:0 -
Sorry, well done on your weight loss, SSL!! :T
And well done on your shoe size loss, gers!! :rotfl:0 -

Don't forget that with omega 3 it's the ratio of omega 3<> omega 6 that counts and cutting back on omega 6 is the other side of the equation. There are two ways to stay in balance: reduce omega-6, and increase omega-3. In my opinion, the former is more important than the latter, but only if you can reduce omega-6 to below 4% of calories.....ditch industrial vegetable oils such as corn, soybean, safflower and sunflower oil, and everything that contains them. This includes most processed foods, especially mayonnaise, grocery store salad dressings, and fried foods.
