Where is everyone this evening then??
I am now fully recovered and bored.
Will just have to watch a film..
Made the cheesecake without a base and is nice, and lower carb.
Am seriously thinking of doing intermittent fasting (from an article in one of teds links)
Seems that 'starvation mode' is a fallacy and IF has lots of health benefits.
Will give it a go when i have couple of days off work as i often dont feel like eating anyway.0 -
Ooooh sparky, your avvy is making my head hurt
I lurrrrve my red wine:D but none for 2 weekswhile I'm doing my Atkins induction. I'm on day 11 and have already lost 5 lbs:j . I want to lose 7lbs, which is the amount of weight that has crept back on over the last 6 months. I originally lost 3 stones, and am determined this time after a lifetime of yo-yo dieting to keep it off!
Hopefully by Monday evening, when my 2 weeks are up, I can sit down and enjoy a small glass of the red stuff again;)
Thanks to all for the replies on the cup measurements. Very helpful:T
SparkyG:beer: My glass is half full :beer:0 -
Im still waiting on Mercys fudge to work its magic :rotfl: :rotfl: but I used red chillis instead of green. Will get some tomorrow and try again.
I took my youngest to orthodontist this morning then for something to eat. I opted for the breakfast but left the beans, tomato and potato scone, but was wondering about the square sausagebut I still ate it. Not sure of their content.
Was mad as hell this morning, we parked in McDonalds at the weekend and got a £95 ticket in the post today. Fingers crossed if I ignore it it will go away.
Mazzers glad you're feeling better.
Welcome sparky.
Badger I would have thought your lodger would have been delighted with a pole in the basement, especially if you were practising on itHis loss.

[sing-song voice] I've been on a da-ate!
Met blokey at 5:15 for a quick beer, which turned into several beers, which turned into him joining me with my colleagues for a cocktail or two! He walked us back to the train station, arm round my waist, and a polite kiss on the cheek goodbye.

Ooooh, keep us posted.
Another lovely day.
Unfortunately, i will be in work so wont be seeing any of it
Might do an IF today, cant be bothered to cook for work and can eat after six when i get home. If i get tempted in work will just rush to the cooked chicken counter.
See you all later.0 -
Yay Badger! :T Is he nice? You seeing him again?
Ooooooh, someone else with a life. It's rubbing off...it'll get to me soon. :rotfl:
jj....£95! I wouldn't be pleased. First time I've heard of a fine for parking at MacDonalds.
Going good Sparky, keep it up. :T
Glad your back in the land of the living mazzers. Will go back and read the fasting link again I think.......
I woke up early again this morning.Hate when I do that as it makes the day longer and it means you either have longer between meals or you eat more.
Oh well, I'm sure I'll cope (with a lot of moaning maybe). See you later.:D

OMG I have just had an e-mail off my sis showing a young mans injuries from a mobile phone he used while plugged in and charging, there was a surge at that time and he died on the way to hospital.
If anyone wants to see it and forward it pm me your e-mail address.0 -
Well he's got both a job and a driving licence, meaning he completely breaks my usual mold
But he's also intelligent, witty (his sense of humour goes over most people's heads, including mine sometimes)... We used to work for the same company (different departments) so we already know eachother and get on, but it's different outside the office isn't it?
I'm properly hungover this morning but still a little swoony... sorry I drank so much booze, I know it's against the rulesand I won't mention the 1am takeaway pizza

Good morning all :hello:
Looks like we are all up early this morning!! I was having a horrible dream & it woke me up. Hate it when that happens.
mazzers, hubby hogged the lap top all last night - he's in a funny mood atm so just let him get on with it.
Not sure I fancy fasting, I like my food too much.Good luck with it though.
Sparky, I think there's a few of us who luuurve red wine too, naming no names!! Well done on losing the 5lbs!! :j
jumping, I'm beginning to wonder if it's just me being over-sensitive to the power of chillis!! The same thing happened when I put one chilli in a recent frittata/omelette type thing but I didn't connect it with the chilli at the time.
Badger, looking good - tis nice to have a bit of romance in your life. :blushing:
alias, I like being up early, especially if no one else is up!! Unfortunately youngest has appeared, said she was woken up by hunger(!!) & is now waffling on about pigs?! Sometimes I just need a bit of peace!!
Well, it's extremely breezy outside today & it's been raining so not looking good so far. Was hoping to get out for some fresh air but think I'd get blown away if I went outside!! Might just join the hamster in hibernating instead.
Menu for today
B - 3 cumberland chipolata sausages & fried egg & fried mushrooms
L - salmon salad (the salad is going to be reeeally limp today!!)
D - chicken/mozzarela/bacon & cheesy leeks/mushrooms
Have a good weekend everyone.
PS. When I saw Shykins had posted earlier I thought that was her coming back-got all excited.Ah well, hopefully she will come back one day.
