Aaah, chilling out in the office

Made my food today, and very filling it's been so far:
    - Breakfast, one pack of silken tofu "mayonnaise"
    - Lunch - slightly odd sandwich. I made some "bread" in the microwave using ground sesame seeds, soya flour, hemp protein, hemp oil, eggs and faux parmesan. In between the bread, I used spinach, goat's cheese and marmite.

Been doing lots of exercise on my pole, too, although my lodger did complain about it being in the basement even though it's not in the way - he said it was "a bit seedy" and he can't sit down there any more :(

Also did a spot of shopping in the sales last night, enjoying my new figure! I've got a few strict rules:
    - Any top must have sleeves to cover my upper arm. No "oh I could wear a cardigan with it", or "oh but it's pretty and a bargain" - if it ain't got sleeves, I will not buy it!
    - I will only buy items that seem to be of quality, even if it means paying a little extra. Good design and quality fabrics will make all the difference.
    - It mustn't be too tight (just in case), but should also still be wearable if I do lose more weight - e.g. a skirt that could be worn on the hips, or a belted dress...
    - Shoes must have a chunky or ideally wedge heel, and be durable enough to walk everywhere! Also, I should really stop buying them cos I've got loads...

So I've got two cute skirts, some black jeans, a floral shirt and a jumper-thingy that's very flattering. I also keep having dreams about a beautiful city shirt in Karen Millen - it's just stunning and currently in the 50% sale... but still £57! The MSE bit of me just won't let the fashion diva in me get away with it :(

    Hiya all

I'm doing Atkins induction for 2 weeks, and although I've done it before, I'm totally confused by the American 'cup' measurement.

Can anyone tell me please, how much in weight (or portion size) I'm allowed per day of salad greens and non starchy veg?

    thanks

 My glass is half full

Sparky, I just use a cup! Not a mug, mind... I reckon a cup is about two-thirds of a mug...

Did that just help?? :rotfl:

    hello Sparky!
Check out measuring jugs, I was surprised to find 'cups' on mine. If not they're v cheap to buy, mine was smart price asda for next to nothing.

Didn't mean to make anyone envious! I'm only 5' 1" but it's a while since I've been a size 12 too. And they are tight, I must admit - but perfectly wearable.

I bought the size 14 at Christmas (they were a very snug fit then) and liked them so much that I thought I'd grab the size 12 in the sale. Thought I might have to send them back (or stick them at the back of the wardrobe till I'd lost a bit more), so it was a lovely surprise. They're Per Una Roma jeans and the fabric and cut is lovely.

Ach, dont worry bout making us jealous, it's the good kind of jealousy.
    I've not seen size 12 since i had 'the baby' and he's bl00dy seventeen:rotfl:
What a waste of a lovely day (now i'm getting up).

On the good side had the toast hours ago and thought it would make me want more carbs but i'm gonna go have some fried chicken which i really fancy so maybe not too much harm done:rolleyes:

Really fancy the raspberry concoction too so will indulge.

Badger, if you happened to 'lose' your lunch, i dont think you'd have to worry, no-one else would eat it and am sure it would be handed in at the nearest cop shop:rotfl:

Couldn't find the chicken so i defrosted and fried some pork steaks,
Was lovely, had it with creamy buttery peppery spinach. mmm

I find it odd that i eat much smaller meals and am soo full
Have tried almost every diet ever concocted and was always hungry, and when not 'dieting' i eat big meals, at one time would've had todays meal with mashed spuds or a jacket and some crusty bread.
Never would've dreamed two pork steaks and a bit of spinach would fill me.
