I know, feeling rubbish now. Had a muller rice earlier as well, instead of the salmon salad I was supposed to have. Hadn't been craving anything sweet for a while but yesterday I really fancied something which is why I made the coconut muffins. I thought the coconut would make them sweet enough for me without the splenda but unfortunately not so I was left with a longing for sweetness which spilled over to today ................ Annoyed with myself for self-destructing though. Back to the naughty corner for me - I'll be back out tomorrow though.0

Get some da-vinci syrup to pour over pancakes.
I have had desperate cravings on occasion and quickly made few pancakes with syrup and actually said out loud 'ah thats better' :rotfl:0 -

Fancied some pancakes the other day but didn't have any eggs!!
Will have to get some of this da-vinci syrup, I remember Shy used to go on about how good it was. Was it you that got the cherry one mazzers? It's a nice thought that they come in different flavours. And do you make the cream cheese pancakes? These are the ones I fancied. 0 -
Ps. Quite fancy the strawberry cheesecake too - would probably make it without the almond pastry as you suggested. Can I ask what sort of dish you would use if you weren't making it with pastry? I was thinking the same dish I use for the mexican fudge - it's actually a ceramic lasagne dish - do you think that would work?!
Sorry for all the questions, I'm a bit of a rubbish cook as well.

I used a standard pyrex dish but as long as its deep enough as the cheesecake has a lot of filling. You could always make smaller ones and adjust cooking time.
But recommend halving as a lot of cream cheese required. (i used tesco value as is cheap and was lovely)
I am waiing for cherry flavour to come into stock but they had loads and loads of flavours, for eg caramel, coconut, orange, ooh i forget them all and was large bottle 750ml which is bottle of wine size.
Will have to search for the site and post it.
My meringues burnt a bit (bl00dy oven) but was very easy and quick to make and i actually only used a whisk. Was nice with rhubarb and cream.
Cant remember pancake recipe (was almond flour) but was on you-tube so clear video instructions.0 -
Ok after my earlier shock at not losing I have made Mercys fudge and green beans for dinner and am now sitting here waiting patiently for it to "go into action" to see if it will make a difference. :rotfl: :rotfl: That along with 2l of water must do something
Have only had 2 teas today. Hubby says maybe I am not eating enough as I dont have breakfast or lunch most days, but at night will have a couple slices of cold meat and a slice of cheese plus SF jelly.
Meanwhile he's continuing to lose. :rolleyes:0 -
Searched forum for da-vinci syrups & www.lowcarbmegastore.co.uk was mentioned by HC & Shykins. but quite a few out of stock
including cherry still. £5.99 for the 750ml.
Not sure if anywhere else stocks it as I would need to pay for delivery - no way I would spend £75 to qualify for free delivery!! Will do a google search & report back if any luck.0 -
It took 2 pieces of chilli fudge in one day for my 'reaction' but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a stronger [STRIKE]bowel[/STRIKE] disposition than me!! :rotfl:jumpingjackd wrote: »Ok after my earlier shock at not losing I have made Mercys fudge and green beans for dinner and am now sitting here waiting patiently for it to "go into action" to see if it will make a difference. :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sorry if I'm lowering the tone again!!
And yes, it sounds like you are not eating enough food during the day. Can you cook some sausages & keep them in the fridge for nibbling? Or even a cooked chicken breast to have with some coleslaw? Babybels etc.0 -
Evening lovely people!
Been cooking all night, if I prepare enough in one go it saves stress later
Especially as I'v given myself a 1/2 hour max cooking time each day. There are exceptions 1ce a week when I cook loads
That'd normally be a weekend but was mothers day so had lots to do for that.
Oops buzzer gone off.
Back in a bit :9
