Congrats on the loss SSS, that's brilliant!
I have lost 7lb this week, despite my adventures in chocolate on Saturday night. It is the first week though, so it'll be mostly water. According to WLR I've had between 20 and 30g carbs a day (not counting Saturday). Only another gazillion pounds to go!0 -
Well done rosy!! :T
Btw, I've PM'd Mercy with your tarragon chicken recipe to go on her recipe list on page 1, hope you don't mind.0 -

Which reminds me, I need to make some low carb (cauliflower) pizza bases and freeze them this week.
Today's menu:
B - sliced mozzarella and tomatoes
L - leftover roast pork with salad and mayo
D - beef cannelloni0 -
morning all
ate way too many nuts last night (i was starving) anyway this morning have put on an lbit shows that i should stay away from nuts but i love them
so far today only had a cheesestringbut will have some chicken and veg for lunch in half a hour so not all that bad.
Hope you guys dont mind, but when you do your food shopping and you notice your sale/bargains for low carb maybe you could post them to share? im trying to stick with low carb but still save money at the same time, and eating this way is not cheap at all
for example, i like snacking on pepperami at work and asda are doing the multipacks (5 in a pack) for £1 each at the momentalso their mr porkys multipacks are a £1 each aswell

Chin up Marrow. Things will get better. I was mortified when our Mogs died but now I can look back and remember all the good times.
Focus, how exactly do you find this WOE expensive? Maybe we can help.Vegetarian. Have cut out all high carb food. Not following any particular plan.Started 20/1/2009. Weight lost so far 29lbs. Target weight loss 38lb in total.0 -
rosy, I know peeps on here have used one of the l-c pancake recipes for cannelloni - think there's two recipes so not sure which one?? One is made with cream cheese & the other one with almond flour?? Sorry, I should have looked at Mercy's recipe list before I posted!!
focus, I find low-carbing expensive too. I buy frozen broc/cauli/peppers and 'value' unsalted butter. Double cream I get from Netto as that's a bit cheaper. I buy 'oopsies' wherever I can (just got a 2 pack of aberdeen angus quarter pounders for 99p & a pack of chilli sausages for 99p from co-op - today's date but I've just bunged them in the freezer for our next BBQ). I suppose eggs are 'cheep'compared to meat so maybe base (yet more ) meals around them?? I also try & pad meals out with more veg whenever feasible. I do sympathise though as I'm struggling with budgets atm, will post any good buys I come across.
Good to see you back marrow, hope all goes well at the hosp. *hugs*0 -
Hey low carb lovelies:D
Been away from the thread for a few months, just so hectic, been 'fairly' good low carb wise, but the poundage has crept back on and I reckon it's the peanurts for me, I've been eating tons of the damn things and they are quite carby. Plus kidding myself that shop bought scotch eggs are OK...they're not.
Feel free to give me a kick up the (fairly large) backside.
I'm being strict as of today and will pop into the thread much more, it really does keep me on the straight and narrow. It's a big birthdayin August and I wanna get into a nice dress.
Brekkie - fried egg, ham & tomato
lunch - veg soup
dinner - soya mince bolognaisey thing I made yesterday, with a salad0
