Mazzers you mention induction week - is this atkins. I'm not sure if I could manage with no veg and fruit.

Well all things considered I am liking this way of eating and look forward to weigh in at the end of the month. I am due blood tests for my diabetes at the end of the month so home to see an improvement on the sugar levels.

Yes, tis Atkins, induction is for two weeks and is no more than 20g carbs, very strict and not essential, but it does get you into ketosis so gives weightloss a boost.

I only wanted to do it again because i have been off the rails quite a bit :o

    including today..

I bet you'll see a great improvement in your sugar levels, i hope so.

I need to get my blood tested, been saying that for weeks tho

    Morning all :hello:

Tis a beautiful morning here so got washing in the machine & might go out for a long walk later, or even a bike ride!! :j

Well done on the weight loss SSS, that's great!! :T I got weighed this morning & I'm the same as last week, which is something of a miracle :rolleyes:

mazzers, get yourself to the Dr. to get your blood done!! You know that we are all a nosy lot on this thread so want to know what's what!! I'm not one to talk though, I'm overdue a 'well woman' appointment, keep meaning to make an appointment but life gets in the way!! :o

Have a good day everyone, hope the sun is shining where you are
  • Sweet, if you are due an appointment, you MUST GO.I had a mammogram done last year, just the mobile one that comes round, and they found something which needed further investigation. It turned out to be just a cyst, but it could have been very different! Finding something early is so much better than leaving it. Until your health is in question, you tend to take it for granted, so go make that appointment.

I know things can sometimes get a bit hectic, but I always remember the words a colleague once said " Why is it people can always find the time to go to a funeral but never the time to see that person before they die". So find the time to make the appointment and then you won't need to go to the funeral!

(Nag! nag! nag! cooo! I could nag for England and win gold if it was an Olympic sport!)

  • The thing with the mammogram is, they want to see me again in January just to keep a check on things. I wonder if they will notice that my boobs are a different size now? I've already gone from a DD to a C and hope to lose a bit more before Christmas. I wonder if size shows up on a mammogram. Or fat cells. Mmmmmm. Thinks.
